Stunted Magicka
Stunted Magicka prevents the target from being able to regenerate magicka. All characters with the Atronach birthsign naturally have Stunted Magicka. It is also possible to acquire this effect through the disease Astral Vapors, which can be caught from Dread Zombies. The Magicka Vortex spell made available by the Spell Tomes download also includes this effect.
Notes[edit]
- If you have Stunted Magicka (either permanently or temporarily from a disease) you will need to replenish magicka reserves yourself, instead of just waiting for your magicka to return. Three effects can be used to replenish magicka:
- Restore Magicka
- Absorb Magicka
- Spell Absorption
- In addition, drawing power from an Ayleid Well will replenish your magicka up to a maximum of 400.
- Though Stunted Magicka has a Base Cost of 0, the Magicka Vortex from the Spell Tomes download treats the Stunted Magicka effect as if it had a Base Cost of 0.77.
- Since Stunted Magicka can only be added in the Construction Set as an on-self spell, the Stunted Magicka effect in the Magicka Vortex spell is implemented as a script effect, which adds a Stunted Magicka ability to its target. Due to this, the icon for the stunted magicka effect in Magicka Vortex will show up as a burden icon (the default script effect icon) instead of its proper icon.
- The Stunted Magicka effect is also controlled by the variable
setav stuntedmagicka
- typingplayer.setav stuntedmagicka 0
will turn off the Stunted Magicka effect, allowing your magicka to regenerate normally, although the icon will still remain in your abilities list.
