Bloodmoon:Artifacts
Artifacts are items that have a unique appearance and item ID. Like unique items, it is impossible to find a second copy of these exceptional (often powerful) items. Unlike unique items, however, artifacts do not share appearances with other generic magic items; they have a distinct one-of-a-kind look. Most of these artifacts also make an appearance in other games.
There are a number of artifacts that can be found throughout the island of Solstheim. For artifacts in Vvardenfell and Mournhold, check the artifact pages for Morrowind and Tribunal, respectively.
- Although not listed here, technically the Hunter's Amulet of Speed and the Hunter's Amulet of Strength are artifacts belonging to Hircine's aspects.
- The Totem of Claw and Fang is expanded in future installments of The Elder Scrolls series as being associated with Hircine's Bear aspect Hrokkibeg. Please see the Lore Article for more information.
Notes
- Charge/Cost= Uses indicates how many uses on average you can get before needing to recharge the armor (or wait for it to charge on its own). Note that the actual cost depends on your Enchant skill, so your results may vary.
- Damage Ratio gives the damage per time for the weapon with higher values indicating a more powerful item. Ratios are given for the base weapon and any magic based damage the weapon may have.
- Speed specifies how fast the weapon swings with higher values indicating a faster weapon.

Hircine's Ring is a unique artifact associated with Hircine. It appears in your inventory once you defeat Tharsten Heart-Fang at the end of the main quest. See the Hircine's Hunt quest for more information.
If you put Hircine's ring on, you will turn into a werewolf for around six hours. You won't suffer from bloodlust, so you won't lose health if you don't kill anyone. But if you put it on while NPCs are looking, the world will still know you as a werewolf.
This ring has an enchant value of 120 like exquisite rings do and can contain spells without messing up the werewolf ability. When you are asked if you want to turn into a werewolf, select no, and the ring will grant the enchantment instead.
Tharsten claims that he has worn the ring for many generations, implying that it lengthens the wearer's lifespan in addition to its more obvious properties.
Notes
- If your health has been diminished by bloodlust, transforming via Hircine's Ring will restore it.
- The player does not get Sanies Lupinus from using Hircine's Ring.
