Manius Valerius at home

Manius Valerius is an Imperial noble who lives in Leyawiin with his daughters Lady Minoria and Emily.

He wakes up at 6am every morning and heads downstairs to eat breakfast; afterwards, he spends three hours around the house before going out for a walk at 11am. He heads over to the castle at 2pm to spend some time catching up on current affairs at the court, then returns home at 6pm to eat dinner with his family. After dinner, he goes to the canal to watch the water flow by for a couple of hours, then returns home to bed at 10pm.

Manius wears a red velvet shirt and pants, a jeweled amulet, gold sapphire ring, and gold-trimmed shoes, and is armed with a Longsword of Lightning. He carries a beef and leek pie, a large amount of gold, and keys to the house and family mausoleum..

The Valerius house is located in the western part of the city, along the main street just south of the outdoor market. The front door opens into a large living room. One wall holds a fireplace flanked by tall bookcases; two comfortable chairs and an end table are placed below a set of stairs, and a couch sits nearby. A doorway leads to the dining room, which is dominated by a long table and four chairs. Shelves with silver dishes and food, as well as a wine rack, sit against the walls.

A door halfway up the stairs leads to the servants' quarters, a single large room with a table and two benches, a pair of cupboards for food and drink, an armoire for clothing, and three single beds.

The upper floor is two bedrooms with a central hallway. The room to the left belongs to the daughters; it has a double bed, armoire, dressing table, dresser, and a bench below the window. The other room belongs to Manius; it has another double bed, armoire, dresser, two chairs, a bookcase, and a writing desk in the corner, along with a love-seat below the window.

His wife, Lady Olivia Valerius died of poisoning, and he wants to see her ghost returned to rest; he blames Elendar for it, and if you agree with him at the end of Ghost in the Cemetery, he'll go kill the cemetery keeper. After that, he'll implore you to find a way to put her to rest for good.

During the quest Reputation in Leyawiin, he's one of the people from whom you need to get a recommendation; if you put the ghost to rest, he'll agree: "This is a good idea. Yes, I will give you the recommendation you need. It is only right.". If you killed the ghost or supported Elendar, he'll be angry and deny you: "What? After everything that's happened? Get out of my sight!"
