Detailed Walkthrough

After speaking to Midwen, you need to search for rotten apples. These can be found anywhere, but the best place to look is Bravil Docks. Most rotten apples will be owned by somebody, so acquiring them will likely require theft.

There are some guaranteed locations to find rotten apples. Six are mixed in with normal apples in an open barrel on the mid-deck of The Heron's Tail. Six more can be found mixed in with normal apples in an open barrel on the mid-deck of The Slough Queen. One can be found on a table in Eugene the Painter's House, and two more in Eugene's food cupboard. Pandarus has one in his Riverside Junk Shop, on a shelf above the fireplace, and two more can be found in the battered crate on the same shelf. Another can be found in the Thieves Hideout, on the floor behind some shelves - this one is the hardest to get, you will either need to pick the lock (Hard) or receive the key during the quest Ferntail's Pearl. A food barrel contains three rotten apples in the Riverside Shack, but the shack must first be purchased from Vark. Food cupboards in the following interiors each contain two rotten apples: Red Sting's House, Old Leonde's House, Greysmark's House, Morgan's Mining Supplies. A food barrel in the Squatter's Building within Bravil contains two rotten apples.

Rotten apples might be found in other locations, such as: in the Squatter's Building, Cook might be carrying a rotten apple, for those willing to pick-pocket. Marsh might have one or more rotten apples in his store cupboard. In the Imperial City Market District, in the warehouse you may find rotten apples in a small crate on one of the middle-class shelves.

Once you have fifteen or more rotten apples, return to Midwen to receive your 100 gold reward.

Notes

• Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
• Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
• If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
• It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage BANBravilHerbalistQuest stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
