Cheydinhal Orum's Gang Discussion[edit]
Contents
Ideas and Theories[edit]
Since there is no dialog or quests involving this gang or their operations we can only speculate about certain things. The following is a list of thoughts about the smuggling operation.
- Borba's Goods and Stores is a legal front for the gang's illegal activities. The store could be used to launder money for the gang, and provide a cover so that the guards do not become suspicious of where all their money comes from.
- Since the location of Walker Camp is so near to Morrowind, and the Orum's Gang Couriers are members of the Comonna Tong, the entire operation is setup to smuggle Skooma into Morrowind. Since Moon Sugar grows natively in Elsweyr the smuggling operation could start there.
- You can find Skooma inside Riverview where Dulfish gro-Orum attends the Saturday party. The Skooma could have been provided by Orum's gang, and some of the Cheydinhal residents are aware of the gang's operations. Of particular interest is that only Dulfish and Ohtimbar are invited to the Riverview Party early, while the rest of the guests arrive late. Aside from this association there is no evidence that Ohtimbar ever touches Skooma.
- The loitering packages could indicate a couple things.
- Dulfish's Skooma addition has made him paranoid, and he asked Bazur and Oghash to watch his house at night.
- As members of the gang Bazur and Oghash are required to perform regular guard duty for Dulfish.
- Being a member of the gang requires you to be on call, and visit Orum's house every night in case he has any assignments for you.
- Dulfish's Skooma addition has made him paranoid, and he asked Bazur and Oghash to watch his house at night.
- Since the drug pickup barrel is located right outside of Myvryna Arano's house, one has to wonder if Uzul gro-Grulam is somehow involved with the Skooma operation. We know that Myvryna was a mole working with Hieronymus Lex, but we do not know if she was actually involved in any illegal activities, or if she was truly undercover and is now unfairly rotting in prison for helping to try and take the Thieves Guild down. If she was really just undercover then Uzul's thoughts about marrying Myvryna could be part of the cover, and this would explain his interest in other Orcs. Uzul has no ties to Orum's gang, there is no evidence that he is involved with Skooma, but this placement and race seems a little too convenient. Though it makes little sense that someone would operate a smuggling ring right outside of their house. It could just be coincidence, and that the nature of the Waterfront was just an easy target for Skooma operators in Bravil or elsewhere.
- One has to consider the unfortunate situation of Hieronymus Lex. His eyes were constantly on the Waterfront, and even had his guards all over the district for a time. He even had an informant working out of the house next to the drug drop. Yet the entire time he was stationed at IC, and had his mole working in the Thieves Guild, he never came close to finding out about the Skooma smuggling operation going on there.
This page is fantastic![edit]
I had just recently noticed the "secret skooma gang" comments on the Cheydinhal pages and was wondering what on earth people were talking about. Great work, here! =) IWon'tFightUndead 13:21, 17 May 2009 (EDT)
Some Questions[edit]
Amazing page, but I have a few questions. Does the skooma in the rock ever get removed, or does it stay there forever? Also, do the Camonna Tong thugs respawn? And what happens if you kill the Camonna Tong thugs when Oghash comes to do the hand-off? Does Oghash turn back, or does she wander the Walker Camp looking for them forever? --Xyntfos 21:17, 7 June 2008 (EDT)
- The Skooma in the rock gets removed by game mechanics. The rock is set to reset to its original empty state anytime the cell it is in resets. You can test this by fast traveling to Chorrol, fast traveling back, and then checking the rock. The Camonna Tong thugs will respawn. I haven't tested this, but if you kill them she should stop until her next AI package tells her to do something else. --shalley303 (talk • contribs) 19:26, 15 May 2009 (EDT)
