Hi, is there a reason you just uploaded 4 copies of the same image? Just wondering, because I'm pretty sure the server saves every version even if you upload to the same name, and given our recent problems of the server's hard drive being so full the site won't even run, I just thought I'd give you a little warning on that count. When uploading files, please try and be sure you've got the file the way you want it first, as I'm not sure how much trouble it is for someone to go and delete the old versions from the server to save space, but I am pretty sure that only Daveh, and not regular Admins can do it, so it might pose a bit of a problem. --TheRealLurlock Talk 15:48, 12 February 2007 (EST)
- Sorry about that. For some reason, when I tried to upload the image, the original image stayed there (or was uploaded in its place). I tried it again, thinking it was just a glitch or something, and after three tries, I gave up and just uploaded a brand new image to take the old one's place (which worked). Again, sorry for any trouble that may have caused. Figures that I'd screw up in my first few days here... NateDan 01:09, 13 February 2007 (EST)

- No problem, just curious. It's not such an issue with text-only edits, as they take very little space, but repeat-uploading of images can quickly eat up drive space, and while I don't think we're close to full again yet, only Daveh knows for sure, and as it caused the site to shut down for almost a month last time, I'd rather not see a repeat of that. Anyhow, you can always ask an Admin or myself (not an Admin yet, but probably will be soon) if you have any problems. (Incidentally, it's customary when responding to a question on your talk page to keep the conversation on the same page, so that it's less confusing. I've copied your comment from my talk page to here to keep it all in one place.) New editors are always welcome, though. Don't let this discourage you from contributing further. --TheRealLurlock Talk 01:18, 13 February 2007 (EST)
