Welcome[edit]
Hello Benould! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask one of our mentors. Enjoy! --Eshetalk02:35, 3 February 2008 (EST)
Done with the clean-up[edit]
I went through the places need cleanup list and User:TheRealLurlock/Sandbox_III. Everything is flagged, checked, coords added, to the best of my knowledge.
Time to play a bit :D --Benould 03:52, 13 March 2008 (EDT)
Okay, that was confusing![edit]
Hey there--sorry if I've gone and messed up your Quest Stage work. All I saw at first was a bunch of stub tables and I didn't realize you were adding the stages as well. Sorry about that! –Eshetalk00:25, 27 March 2008 (EDT)
Journal Entries[edit]
Thanks for adding all the journal entries! You might find this helpful, if you hadn't already found it. It's a list of all Morrowind quests needing journal entries adding and should be reasonably up to date. Feel free to delete the ones you've done from that list when you're ready. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 02:30, 27 March 2008 (EDT)
Where Should This Go?[edit]
Hiya. I see you've found yet another thing to keep you busy! :) I just noticed the Template:/Description page you created. I assume it was an accident but I don't know where you meant it to go. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 06:27, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
- Argh, yes it's an accident. Do I have to create a whole new page then? And yeah, i got a few days left before I have to seriously scale back on this addiction XD--Benould•T•C 06:34, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
- Actually... something funny is going on there. Even though it has the wrong name, the ship page is using on it. I'll take care of it and try to work out what's going wrong. Thanks. What happens in a few days? –Rpeh•T•C•E• 06:38, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
- OMG, I hit the top 25 of active users in one month oO Lucky I got work coming up...--Benould•T•C 06:41, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
- It's been quite a start! Thank you for the huge amount of work you've done - the Morrowind pages are looking much, much better thanks to you. I've fixed the problem with the ship - you had accidentally created it in the "Morowind" namespace - one "r", and that was causing other pages to throw up problems. Better now! –Rpeh•T•C•E• 06:49, 1 April 2008 (EDT)

Quests[edit]
Thanks! Perhaps I'll fix up some quests in the future. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk)/(Contribs) 18:27, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
fin[edit]
I noticed you adding the "{{fin}}" templates to the MW quest pages - thanks for that, by the way, I was dreading having to go through all that. One problem though, is that when you use the template on a 3-digit quest index, the checkmark wraps onto the next line (at least in Firefox on my computer). So instead of just "|100 {{fin}}|
"you need to change those lines to say, e.g.: |{{nowrap|100 {{fin}}}}|
. If more than one 3-digit finishing ID exists on a single quest, you only need to do that to the first, and it will widen the column enough to make the others not wrap as well. --TheRealLurlock Talk 07:40, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
- I actually had put the nowrap code in, yet I was sometimes still getting wraps. Good to get the source from you, the one i found in older edits had only two }} instead of }}}} and was behaving inconsistently. Btw, I removed one of your old WIP from February 2007, A Cure for Vampirism, I am sure you don't mind :p Cheers, --Benould•T•C 11:09, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
-
- For reference, the first two }} are from the fin template, and the other two from the nowrap template - you're basically putting a template inside a template. That should help you remember in the future (with these and other templates). Every template always has two {{s and two }}s. (Sometimes within the template itself you'll see three }}}'s, but that's for variable declaration and is a bit more of an advanced topic.) --TheRealLurlock Talk 14:19, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
Welcome Template[edit]
Thanks for the message. However, it only takes up the whole page when there's barely anything else on the page. Also, warning messages, cookies, and awards can also be distracting, and they take up room too. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk)/(Contribs) 18:06, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
- Just giving feedback; I found them obnoxiously big, to the point where the user ignores the content of it. See the talk here.... Ironic, isn't it? Would be a shame to spend so much time on something that doesn't serve its purpose. --Benould•T•C 18:24, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
- Ocylith is just one person. You can't judge everyone from just one person. Also, I also like to be loud and obnoxious, bright and colorful, and creative and unique. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk)/(Contribs) 19:05, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
Fanfiction Opportunity[edit]
Benould, as one of editors of this site who I feel deserves this opportunity, I am offering you a chance to have a character request in my new Fancfiction project, Rise and Fall (details here) I am only offering this to a few users, and you have been selected! (how corny was that?) Anyway, if you would like me to add your character idea to the story, just let me know. I'm currently in the planning stages, so there's plenty of time. --HMSVictoryTalk 12:24, 20 April 2008 (EDT)
-
- Sure, that'd be fun XD. Let me know how many detail you need. A little blurb about Benould the Wise: Age/level 29, Breton Sign: Atronach, Dwarven spear wielding Conjurer Mystic, wears Sanctuary clothing that i call Armor of God.
- Yes, that's good. One thing missing, though: Personality. In order to integrate your character properly, I need to know what they are like, how they behave, etc. The project is on hold until I get replies rom the other editors I picked, but I shall have something up by mid-May at the very latest. Thanks! --HMSVictoryTalk 14:52, 22 April 2008 (EDT)
- Benould the Wise' ancestors hail from Brittany, he is actually more curios than wise, often stumbling into situations way over his head. He is good at heart, helping naked Barbarians as well as Damsels-in-distress. Benould is somewhat of a uniter of warring factions, a Telvanni Mage Lord that rose to Arch-mage in the Imperial Guild and the Tribunal Temple. Benould strikes down foes with a vengeance, although Poetry can be his bane. He slew Dagoth Ur and Almalexia, yet let Lord Vivec live. --Does that give you an idea of the characters complexities? Let me know if you need more, --Cheers, Benould•T•C 13:34, 23 April 2008 (EDT)
- That should be sufficient. If the final product happens to portray him inaccurately, you can always notify me, and I should be able to tweak the text until it's perfect. --HMSVictoryTalk 13:37, 23 April 2008 (EDT)

Fryse Hags Verification[edit]
They are female nord NPCs. I believe they are random spawns - there's three versions of them, from what I remember. I've never seen any of them summon ghosts, but their Brittlewind spell probably warrants a mention. --Gaebrial 05:25, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
-
- Yeah, the Ancestor Ghost thing comes from an GameFAQ article, as far a I remember, hence the request for VN, and yes, they are random. Probably needs a CS check to be sure what they can do. Btw, I got a nomination up for patroller, hint, hint. Love to get your feedback, either way. ;) --Benould•T•C 05:31, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
Referring to Talk Pages[edit]
Hey, when editing articles, please don't refer to talk pages when you can just add the relevant information to the article. I saw that you did this on Morrowind:Corprus, and just figured that you didn't know. --Ratwar 19:53, 26 April 2008 (EDT)
- Ok, I was just answering/undoing a previous edit that took out the corprus VN and note, since it wasn't resolved since November 2007. I wanted to document it, once and for all. EDIT: Ah, I see, I didn't put in the Fyr info there. End EDIT You're right, see talk is probably overkill. --Benould•T•C 20:11, 26 April 2008 (EDT)
Hello (Again)[edit]
Just wanting to say something about the articles in the main namespace that you proposed for deletion. If there's no real information on them, you can just go ahead and propose speedy deletion. They usually can be put under the 'other' pages that can be instantly deleted. --Ratwar 18:04, 29 April 2008 (EDT)
- Ah, I can delete pages? Good to know. XD Still getting used to all the tools. I may have questions later, and feel free to enlighten me at any time.
- In this case, I wanted Rascaldee to copy over any useful information first, in that on-going education effort Nephele was engaged in with him. --Benould•T•C 18:13, 29 April 2008 (EDT)
- Naw, you can't delete pages, but you can put the speedy delete tag on them: {{speedydeletion}} (sorry if I caused confusion). I didn't see anything that was extremely useful on the pages, as everything he said was already stated in some fashion on the pages. -Ratwar 18:24, 29 April 2008 (EDT)
Mentor?[edit]
I hope this is the right place to ask this.. but I saw you are on the mentor page and I was wondering if you'd be willing to answer a few of my questions about the wiki. I'd really like to get into the nitty gritty of images so if you'd be willing to give me some answers and a few pointers, I'd be super appreciative. KamekoHaru 16:34, 19 April 2008 (EDT)
- Sure I'd love to mentor you and answer questions you might have. I am not that experienced with screenshots since I am on the XBox, however I can point you to the right places and people. Which games are you interested to get images for, Morrowind perhaps? TheRealLurlock (talk · contribs · email) is the resident image guru, his time on the site is very limited, however I am sure he can answer direct questions.
- Look here to get you started
-
- I like taking screen shots, and they're something I do alot of - which is why I figured I could fill in where there are missing images. But I'm totally not against doing other things too - just need to learn the ropes of the wiki markup stuff first. (I'm a pretty quick learner if I have someone to check in with.) And as for which game, I REALLY prefer Morrowind to Oblivion. I think it calls for more online help then Oblivion does.. and I just want to help others by aleviating some of the problems I had my first time through. I do have a few questions already though: When you find a stub and it wants more information, how do I find out what info they're looking for to finish it? Also, how do you figure out the amount of faction disposition and reputation that you get from a quest? And last, in your opinion, what is one of the more important parts of the Morrowind section that needs work? Thanks so much for the help! KamekoHaru 04:17, 21 April 2008 (EDT)

- Just a quick answer for now, Category:Bloodmoon_Pages_Needing_Images could use your help. For NPC's we prefer a square image, like here Morrowind:Ajira. Values for disposition and reputation you need to get from the Construction Set. --Benould•T•C 04:31, 21 April 2008 (EDT)
- Before I go fiddling about too much on the site.. would you pop over to Bloodmoon:The_Ritual_of_the_Sun and let me know if that image is up to par with what you guys are looking for on the wiki? If not, I don't want to muck up anymore pages and make a terrible mess of things. Thanks oodles! KamekoHaru 07:22, 25 April 2008 (EDT)
- That particular image looks fine. I inserted it in a couple more places, have a look where it links now. Depending on what you are depicting, the file and image size can vary. In general, treat the screenshot like you would a photograph. Control perspective, for- and background and the main focus of the image. When you have uploaded a few more examples, I'll have User:Rpeh take a look at them, he is on vacation right now. Looking forward to many more beautiful and descriptive screenshots, --Benould•T•C 11:55, 25 April 2008 (EDT)

(outdent) Thank you for the new batch, very helpful! The square format is mainly for NPC pages, however they seem to work fine for quest items as well. When you take a picture of a broader scene, the landscape format is preferred. --Benould•T•C 03:25, 29 April 2008 (EDT)
Edited Chain Spells[edit]
Saw you edited my Advanced Chain Heal spell a bit, to the better I admit. A lot easier to read now.
Was thinking though, if you could possibly edit the 2 other Advanced Chain Spells I did, in a similar way?
Also, I'd love if it'd be possible to include my conclusion on how the Fortify Intelligence/Magicka works. Wich kinda comes down to say: 300/300 before any cast. 550/600 after a heal, or 500/600 after 100 spell. Casting a heal, then back to 100 spell puts it at one point at 100/600, hence why the limit is 100. But what I want to point out is that it drops down from 400/600 to 100/600 after the Fortify Intelligence/Magicka from the heal runs out.
As well whould be awsome to get a more indeepth explination how it works (as in somewhere letting people know that one whould be appreciated), as I myself aren't even 100% how it works.. because why does it work with 100 spell swaped with a 75 spell, but not a 125 swaped with a 50 spell, and stuffs like that. Also why is it totaly 150? (+25 is from regenation) I assume it has something to do with 300/2 as of the explination on 100 Magicka needs 50 spell cost. (And yes, doing a 150 magicka spell is possible to repeat non stop, but you cannot swap in a heal in between. I decided to exclude that for now though.)
In short about the mumble above. I'm not sure why it's needed to be 100+50, maybe coz the 100+50 will at one point count towards just one of the two fortify intelligence/magicka (the one you reaply), as in the explination on the orginal Chain Heal spell.
Anyways, now I managed to just talk on about nothing, saying the same thing 3 times :D — Unsigned comment by Exoclyps (talk • contribs)
- Yes, I recognized the style, even though there was no signature XDDD As to editing your other spells, I'll might be able to give it a whack a little later. I must admit I know nothing about the concept, other than what you write, I just saw some nuggets in there. Consider it digging for gold, so to speak, --Cheers, Benould•T•C 21:30, 24 April 2008 (EDT)

- Sweet, since making things look good and without need to explain things 3 times before people gets it, isn't my strong side. I like to try different things out though XD
-
- And yeah, about signatures. Just recently found out about how to add them and such, kinda silly I actually managed to miss it in the first place.
