Sandbox2 is a small cave west of Riverwood and north of Falkreath.
The grotto is normally inhabited by bears and spriggans. It consists of a single path that winds around the perimeter of a large, open vale. At the north end of the grotto, a shrine of Talos can be found next to a leveled soul gem, with an unlocked chest nearby. Behind the shrine, Bolar's Oathblade rests in front of a staute of Talos, with Bolar's writ in front of it.
Bloated Man's Grotto People[edit]
|
* All of these hunters only appear during the related quest to hunt the werewolf Sinding.
Related Quests[edit]
- Dungeon Delving: Do a favor by retrieving an item from a cave. (radiant)
- Ill Met By Moonlight: Participate in the Daedric Prince Hircine's Great Hunt.
Notes[edit]
- Entering the grotto when directed by the quest Ill Met By Moonlight will result in the time being set to 11pm upon entering, unless you enter the grotto between 7pm and 2am.
- If you wish to acquire the Oathblade and/or mark this location as "cleared", and let Sinding live here in peace, you must visit the location before the related quest, because it won't return to its non-quest version without killing Sinding.
- Bloated Man's Grotto has one of the highest concentrations of insect spawn points. There are a total of 17 throughout the grotto making it a great location for farming Blue Butterfly Wings and Butterfly Wings during the day, and Luna Moth Wings and Torchbug Thoraxes at dusk. Additionally, there are four hawk nests in the grotto (another high number), which yields the potential for 4 hawk beaks and 12 hawk feathers. Finally, two plants can be found in particularly high concentrations in and around the grotto, tundra cotton (32 plants), and hanging moss (63 plants).
Bloated Man's Grotto is also the sanctuary of Sinding during the quest Ill Met By Moonlight. During this quest, the grotto's appearance changes drastically. It becomes much darker, with a huge, red full moon dominating the sky. The shrine, Oathblade, and writ are removed, and the bears and spriggans are replaced by a variety of hunters.
Bugs[edit]
- Killing everything in the grotto during Ill Met By Moonlight will not cause the grotto to be marked as cleared.
- Returning to the grotto after it reverts back to its non-quest form and killing the bears and spriggans that inhabit it will result in it being labeled as cleared.

due west of the entrance, near two trees that are by the cliff-face, is the remains of a long-abandoned path that traverses the mountain and ends a short west of Ilinalta's Deep, by the shores of Lake Ilinalta. It is still traversable, though it requires some concentration to follow the correct path.
Interior[edit]
The entrance opens to a tunnel that leads down to a large glade; there is a red mountain flower just to the right of the entrance. Two wolves wander around the area. There are two paths from this area, one to the northeast and one to the northwest; it is actually one path that runs the whole way around the grotto. To the southeast is a small ledge, and behind a tree stump on the ledge is a locked chest. There is a waterfall to the east, and in the small pool in front of it are two Nordic barnacle clusters and a chest.
Along the northeast path are two more wolves, and along the walls before the ruin are seven easily reached hanging moss plants. There is also a spriggan waiting to ambush the unwary about half-way along the path. The path leads to some stairs that lead to an old ruin.

Guilds[edit]
Guilds are player-made factions. There are
Guilds are affiliated to one Alliance, which is permanent. When fighting in Cyrodiil you can claim resources for a guild. Your characters and the guilds Alliance affiliation must align in order to do so.
Players join guilds, not characters, so all characters belonging to a player can access a guild , regardless of character affiliation.
Anyone can create a guild, but it won't be visible until another member joins. You need to be online to accept people to your guild.
to talk to guild members only the chat buttons are /guild# and /officer# where # is the order number of that guild
There are four ranks in any guild, Guildmaster, Officer, Member, and Recruit. Only the Guildmaster can promote or demote players and assign permissions to each rank. Permissions available are resource management, access to the guild bank, and access to the guild store. There can only be one Guildmaster, but you can promote someone to that position at the cost of your own ranking.
Disbanding a guild is possible. To do so the Guildmaster must leave the guild before all other members, whereupon the guild will vanish when the last person present leaves. Any items left in the bank will be destroyed.
The guild store is only available to guild members with the associated permissions. Outside trading or trading with other guilds is not possible.
