Hi There![edit]
I thought I would put a little info here for those people who like to know who they are talking to when they have an online discussion. Although Keturah Ishtari is obviously not my real name, I will happily answer to it because it's been a character name of mine, both online and off, since way back in the days of 2nd Edition tabletop D&D. That right there should tell you that I'm older than a lot of the typical gaming crowd (rapidly approaching 40, actually). I'm growing older without growing up, but I think that is true for a lot of my generation, for reasons I won't get started on here.
I've been fan of Elder Scrolls games since Daggerfall (I just couldn't get in to Arena), and I vividly remember what it was like to fall through dungeon floors into space, or get trapped on the second floor of your own home. I miss owning an in game boat and the Month Pythonesque hoofbeat audio that sounded like two coconut halves being whacked together. Although I own Skyrim for both the PC and the Xbox, I currently prefer the ease of playing with the Xbox controller and not having to mess with console commands. I will probably play the game again on PC at some point, in order to take advantage of the bug fixes that the unofficial patch provides and see how the game can be played differently with the console commands. I have an obsessive mania for in game book collecting (and I read them all), and I find Cicero strangely entertaining/compelling. I'm a recovering World of Warcraft addict, and fully expect ES Online to be my next MMORPG obsession.
I haven't been an ES wiki member very long, and will most likely confine my efforts to questions and comments on the discussion pages for now. I generally access the wiki and make comments via Kindle, and the Kindle keyboard makes the experience much like text messaging. I can't imagine trying to do wiki markup via Kindle, at least not very often. Probably for the best, though, since I spend a lot of my time thinking about things like "Why do dead sabre cats have eyes or teeth, but never both," and "Has someone put something in the water in Whiterun? Is that why the NPCs randomly turn hostile?"
When I'm not in Tamriel or on the wiki, I can usually be found at home with my two dogs, three cats, and retro gamer husband. A seizure disorder, crippling social anxiety, and the heat where I live keep me at home/indoors most of the time, but its fine, they know me here! My husband and I once appeared on an episode of Tosh.0, so I've had my fifteen minutes of fame. I make a mean lasagna and can pronounce the alaphabet as a single word. I'm learning to make "roll your own" userboxes and anything else you might want or need to know can probably be found there.
