The Ordinators in Mourning are special guards employed by the Tribunal Temple. They are in the Order of the Watch and patrol the city of Necrom enforcing the both Temple law and Imperial law.
Necrom Indoril is some of the best medium armor in the game. It is colored a somber gray, black, and tan. Their helms hide their faces forming masks streaked with dark painted tears. It is a full set of all nine pieces available to a character. They wear an Ordinator in Mourning Skirt which covers their greaves and boots. They carry a torch, around 40 gold pieces, expensive pants, and a small number of restore health potions. They carry two items indicative of their House loyalty, an Indoril belt and an un-enchanted Indoril amulet. Even though their highest combat skill is with a long blade, in keeping with their priestly employers' aversion to shedding blood, their issued weapon is a very fine blunt one, an ebony mace.
Be aware that Necrom Indoril armor is sacred to the Order and only an Ordinator is permitted to wear it. If you interact with an Ordinator while wearing any piece of the armor, he and all others will attack on sight - for ever. In addition, Ordinators will fight you if they hate you or if you commit a crime. They are tough opponents, since in addition to having a better overall armor and an excellent weapon, they also cast Destruction spells.
Dialogue[edit]
- Voice:
- Combat:
- "Let fire consume thee!"
- "Consider this your end!"
- "Accept the grace without limits!"
- "The Thrice-Sealed blood withstands the storm!"
- "Yield to Faith!"
- Idle:
- "Huh? Probably just a ghost..."
- "Sigh. What a ghost town."
- "Where is that slave? Here not long ago."
- "Death does not diminish; the ghost gilds with glory!"
- "Bones to ash... pass the Door... faith in Three-as-One."
- "Can ghosts or justice change with time?"
- Greetings:
- "The living are silent in the city above Necrom."
- "For the living, we weep."
- "Do not betray your nature, Pilgrim."
- "Pilgrim, speak as you will."
- "Honor the ancestors, Pilgrim."
- "Though forbidden to some, not to you."
- "You are Thrice welcome, Pilgrim."
- "The spirits welcome you to the city above Necrom."
- "This is a place of mourning, foreign wretch. Do not dash around."
- "Be afraid, for the dead are watchful."
- "Cast no spells. The ancestors demand your silence."
- "Your foreign sorcery is forbidden here."
- "None shall disturb the silence in the city above Necrom. Sheathe your weapon!"
- "Lay down your weapon at once! The dead are watching."
- "Watch it. We'll have no trouble in the city above Necrom."
- "Do not tarry in the City of the Dead!"
- "Only the soul-sick scurry and bolt like you do... scum."
- "You insult the ancestors with your presence. You'd be wise to leave."
- "Defile our tombs and you will be forever cursed, outlander."
- "Walk in silence and in humility, hasty outlander!"
- "Sacrilegious outlander! Walk humbly among the ghosts or you will be hindered."
- "Thrice-cursed! Begone!"

- Relevant Menu Selections:
- Background: "We are the Ordinators in Mourning."
- Appelles Martius: "He's recently arrived from Cyrodiil. You'll likely find him inspecting the grounds at Ebonheart."
- city above: "Of course. Here dwell the living guardians and servants of the Temple, whilst in the catacombs of Necrom our dead are interred and the ancestors make their habitation."
- latest rumors: "No one has seen Nadim Farcloth for a few days now. His door in the southeast corner of the lower quarter has been locked up tight. His neighbor, Rilam Arclas, might know what he's been up to."
- little advice: "Necrom is a huge complex of tombs where generations of the dead have been brought and laid to rest. If you take the sacred oath, you will be allowed in the catacombs, but unless you know what you're doing, I wouldn't recommend it. There's a labyrinth of corridors and tombs down there, and the dead are often joined by unfortunate visitors failing to find their way out."
- little secret: "It is said that Verenda Hlervan single handedly defended a Deshaan monastery from an Argonian warband during the Arnesian War. For his heroism, he was promoted to Marshall of the Ordinators in Mourning. His presence in the city is a true blessing."
- local area: "The low hills around Necrom that are owned and patrolled by the Temple are called the Sacred Lands region. You won't find many settlements around here, except for perhaps the odd farm, but you will probably see many pilgrims and travelers heading to and from Necrom. You'll probably also notice lots of tomb entrances in the sides of hills, as the Sacred Lands are a favored resting place for Dunmer across Morrowind."
- Necrom: "Necrom. The City of Ghosts. A city of two halves. That which is home to the dead, in catacombs and ashworks. And the city above, where the living reside, pilgrims visit the shrines and the Fane of the Ancestors. Walk reverently, for we shall be watching."
- pilgrimages: "The most pious members of the Temple make Pilgrimages to various sites in Morrowind where gods, saints and heroes have faced tests and trials."
- someone in particular: "The Ordinators in Mourning answer to Marshall Verendes Hlervan and Canon Simine Turethi. They may be found in the Ordinator offices, the eastern wing of the Hall of Contemplation, inside the Temple complex beneath the Fane of the Ancestors."
- specific place: "The city above Necrom is divided into three districts. The Temple courtyard houses the Fane of the Ancestors and the Temple holdings. The Upper District is the center of pilgrimage. The lower quarter holds some residences and Charnelworks, where the bodies of the dead are prepared."

Bugs[edit]
- The confrontation dialogue for wearing Ordinator armor frequently crashes its script. You can elect to continue but the game may not be stable.
