"My noble cousin, serjo Tholer Andas, expects results from me. In turn, I must also expect results from you." - Gelvu Andas

Gelvu Andas is a Dark Elf Scribe and a cousin of the Hlaalu Councilman, Tholer Andas. She has been assigned by her cousin to oversee day-to-day affairs at Ushu-Kur Mine, and will represent her cousin in giving orders to you during the latter portion of Andothren's Fighters Guild questline.

Somewhat officious, and only ever addressing you as "sellsword", Gelvu displays an entirely callous attitude towards the lives of others if it allows the mine's operations to continue. In Manit-Pal the Hunter she will order you to remove the protesting Ashlander, Manit-Pal by "any means necessary". If you murder the mer, her only worry will be the likelihood of retribution from his tribe, the Ishanuran. Gelvu is similarly uncaring towards the mine's employees, asking you to arrange the death of a caravaner who has stolen iron ore during For a Few Pieces of Iron, prizing the ore Joscus was mining over Joscus himself (in Find Joscus' Body), and getting you to break a miners' strike in Digging Deeper, rather than paying them in gold as they have requested. As she puts it: "Let them hate us so long as they obey."

Gelvu even has a decidedly economic view of events if your fellow sellsword, Jubal Orda, 'falls into lava' in The Cursed Crown:

"Oof. Sounds like a bad way to go. No matter, it's one fewer sellsword on my payroll."

The only event that does seem to shake her (asides from any refusal to follow her orders) is the disturbance of the cursed Ushu-Dimmu, who will nearly kill her and everybody else in the mine during the events of The Cursed Crown. In this almost single instance, she shows empathy and gratitude:

"Ah, yes... The mine is to be closed. I understand. My noble cousin has no use for us anymore. That damned artifact was all he wanted. I will inform the miners... I suppose after all that transpired here they will be glad to leave this place behind. I know I am. Thank you for helping us, %PCName."
