Apisphagus Thryx

Apisphagus Thryx is an Imperial servant of the fabulously wealthy Vendicci family, who acts in the role of both carriage driver and bodyguard. While assigned to the person of Vermilius Vendicci, he describes his loyalty as being more towards the family than the individual, and indeed seems to take a not overly impressed view of Vermilius, stating only he is what he is.

Apisphagus has a part in the quest Scandalous Letters. Here he will make an offer to you on behalf of Lady Vendicci, who wishes the letters evidencing her husband's unfaithfulness to be sent to her, rather than returned to her husband. Apisphagus will reward you handsomely if you comply.

He will additionally be encountered during Andothren Regained if you choose to track down Vermilius' carriage. In the event that you then kill Vermilius inside that carriage, Apisphagus will attempt to kill you on your departure.
