Daedric Plate[edit]
The article states that Daedric Plate may only be found at vendors or made with crafting at level 40+. However I have just found Daedric Plate Armor in the Bleakwind Basin loot chest at Level 38.
Should the article be updated to reflect this? I understand that verification is needed but not sure how to provide this. I do have screenshots if that helps. -194.37.96.54 10:29, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
Minimum Level Info[edit]
In this article, it is said that Daedric weapons are found in leveled lists at level 46 or higher, correct? However, I have just discovered a daedric dagger in a chest on Kilkreath Balcony while doing the related quest, "The Break of Dawn". My character is level 24. I know that this is incredibly rare. My question is this: is there any sort of an additional formula that any of you know about that determines the minimum level for finding daedric loot? Does anyone know approximately what the chances are of finding Daedric loot at level 24? I am still in awe of this discovery, and I believe it would be beneficial to all to have this information. Thank you for your time. — Unsigned comment by 24.222.66.30 (talk) at 14:22 on 14 August 2012
evil?[edit]
is daedric material evil?
It is imbued with daedric essence right? Or is it good cause it requires you to kill one to make?
Is there any lore that say how it is considered or is it neutral like ebony?(lore says ebony used to be thought inherently evil until that was disproven I think i read that somewhere anyway)— Unsigned comment by 24.38.235.96 (talk) at 01:16 on 25 September 2012

- I guessthat it depends on ur point of view... Either its evil cuz u use evil staff to make ur ebony stronger or u dispose of evil and are rewarded by having better gear... ...
Strange daedric greatsword[edit]
I recently forged a daedric greatsword which strangely was longer than it should've been. I mean, when I tossed it from my inventory and picked it up, the model seemed like it was longer than it should be. I was able to kick it from far behind it and far in front of it. It was long the greatsword was really a polearm except the model was the sword. Anybody else experience this? 96.238.52.167 06:44, 7 February 2013 (GMT)
- Same for me - I think they have done something with some meshes and textures. — Unsigned comment by 217.66.152.23 (talk) at 07:24 on 11 February 2013 (GMT)
New daedric textures[edit]
After install of Dragonborn I saw a daedric sword with silver blade on some loading screen and thought It was a bug. Then I consoled a whole set on me to make sure and that is what I have: [1] I think new texture pack changed only swords and armor but not the other equipment, so it could be just a texture pack's bug. 188.134.34.231 05:37, 11 February 2013 (GMT)

- Can anyone else confirm this? I would if I could be bothered to install DragonBorn; too busy playing ;P --GodRaine (talk) 02:20, 23 February 2013 (GMT)
- I don't seem to have new textures in my game. They look like they always did. I have all 5 of the current Official Plug-ins but none of the unofficial patches. Im going to remove the note for now. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 04:02, 1 March 2013 (GMT)

Boots bug?[edit]
Are daedric boots from the atronach forge still bugged? After the latest patches and DLC's I mean. — Unsigned comment by 124.43.159.123 (talk) at 10:37 on 12 May 2013
- There is nothing in the official patch notes to suggest that anything's been changed. If you play on PC, the USKP mod addresses this, and a console command workaround is listed here. — ABCface◥ 13:54, 10 June 2013 (GMT)
Daedric items in leveled lists[edit]
I just found stole some daedric boots out of a leveled chest with a master lock (the lock level is probably irrelevant, but might as well state that). And I'm level 35 or 36. Why does the article say that you can't find them until level 48? Scientific Alan 2 (talk) 13:28, 17 May 2013 (GMT)
- Do you have any 3rd party mods that could be affecting the list? Also, where were you at when you found them? Jeancey (talk) 13:48, 17 May 2013 (GMT)
- I only have Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard, and I play the Xbox, if that makes a difference. And I was in Calcelmo's Laboratory. Or maybe the Dwemer museum, I don't really remember, I know it was an area in the Understone Keep, though. Scientific Alan 2 (talk) 19:29, 17 May 2013 (GMT)

- There would be a boss chest in there for the end of Hard Answers. Boss Chests reward higher level items and better rewards than normal loot. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 19:32, 17 May 2013 (GMT)

Vigilants of Stendarr[edit]
The dragonplate article states daedric armor makes encountered vigilants of stendarr hostile to the player, if this is true I think it should be stated in this article as well. — Unsigned comment by 124.43.199.96 (talk) at 15:24 on 7 June 2013
- I have never had vigilants of stendarr attack while wearing a full set of Daedric armor. In fact, they often cure me of disease and go on their merry way. Perhaps, if someone can verify that they do sometimes attack, the verbiage should be changed to 'may attack.' 98.193.141.36 21:15, 9 July 2013 (GMT)
- I just walked through the Hall of the Vigilant wearing a full set of Daedric armor and no one attacked. 98.193.141.36 07:48, 13 July 2013 (GMT)
Ebony vs Daedric damage values[edit]
On the Ebony page, it says that the Ebony Mace does 19 damage and the Ebony War Axe does 17 damage. On the Daedric weapon page, the Daedric Mace does 20 damage and the daedric War Axe does 18 damage. How are these values equivalent? Main person this question is for is the user "The Silencer," but any may answer. I am rather confused. 99.43.132.231 21:09, 25 May 2014 (GMT)
- Those are the weight values. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 21:11, 25 May 2014 (GMT)
- Well now, don't I look like an idiot? Haha, thank you. I really must make sure I'm reading graphs right on this website. 99.43.132.231 21:15, 25 May 2014 (GMT)
Intimidation bonus?[edit]
According to Wikia, "Wearing the full Daedric set raises the chance of successful intimidation checks by 10%." It would be interesting to know if this is true. I would test it if I could, but there is almost no information on how intimidation works, so someone would have to check in the game files. --95.222.29.232 14:24, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
- It's not true. I don't know how that hasn't been challenged in the seven and a half years its been misleading people who read that page. The very few posts elsewhere claiming that all claim that it also makes Vigilants attack you on sight, which is also patently untrue. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:20, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

- Reviving this because of a recent edit. I'm not familiar with any bonus of this nature existing, and considering it used to be part of a further false claim about Vigilants attacking you I am doubtful. Can someone prove this is real by showing whatever controls it? --AKB Talk Cont Mail 17:35, 12 January 2023 (UTC)
