Part 1

Day 3

Ha! Those idiot Quarra will rue the day they crossed the Berne.
I've successfully obtained the blood of Volrina Quarra - the source of the clan's power! Without this, the Quarra clan is doomed to fall to the Berne.
I'll hide in this cave for a bit until the pursuers pass by, then I'll make my way to Restita with my prize.

Part 2

Day 60

What has happened? There was a sound like the sky itself was collapsing, the world shook... Something terrible must have happened outside.
And worse... the entrance has caved in. No matter. I'll enthrall all these worthless Fryse Hags. They'll dig me out.

Part 3

Day 75

The last of the Fryse Hags died today. The entrance remains blocked, and now I've no further sources of blood. If I don't escape soon...

Part 4

Day 141

The hunger is too great. I can feel myself fading, losing my sanity. If I don't feed soon, I'll become feral.

The Blood of Volrina taunts me from inside that pretty vial. Would that quench my thirst?

I have no choice. Surely a sip won't hurt...

Part 5

Day 300

Of course. It's simple, so simple! Volrina is a Quarra, but she was first turned by the Berne. That means the Quarra are Berne, and Volrina is the first of the Quarra. Therefore, she is Berne!
I am a Berne, and she is a Berne. She is in the bottle, and I am in the cave. We are the same!
Exactly the same. No wonder I couldn't dig my way out. I'm not in the cave. I'm in the bottle. I am Volrina. It all makes sense.
