Redguard:Ingredients

This page describes all of the static ingredients in Redguard, including descriptions given by Cyrus. Unlike aloe and most other items, they do not appear in your inventory. All eight ingredients are found in N'Gasta's Tower and five of them are also in the Mage's Guild.

You can sublimate ectoplasm, Hist sap, Orc's blood, or spider's milk with any ingredient, though only a few combinations have any noticeable effect. Three combinations noted below have no effect, but are used to open a portal to the realm of Clavicus Vile during the quest Rescue Iszara.

If the combination does not have an effect then Cyrus reacts to the disgusting taste of the potion with one of these lines:

"Blugh! That's nasty."

"Damn! That's foul!"

"My, my, my. That is truly vile."

"Ptooie! Hack! Hack! That's enough of that."

	Pig's Sac	"A dried out sac from a pig."	Found in the Mage's Guild and on the top level of N'Gasta's Tower If mixed with Orc's blood, the resulting potion acts like a combined ironskin and strength potion. The Redguard Companion calls this combination Blood Lust.
	Saint's Hair	"Strands of saint's hair."	Found on the top level of N'Gasta's Tower
	Salamander	"It's a small purple salamander."	Found in the Mage's Guild and on the top level of N'Gasta's Tower
	Spriggan's Ear	"This piece of wood looks to be a spriggan's ear. Strange to see one of these this far from the mainland."	Found on the top level of N'Gasta's Tower
	Unicorn's Horn	"This horn looks to be from a unicorn."	Found in the Mage's Guild and on the top level of N'Gasta's Tower Mixed with Hist sap to activate the portal to Vile's realm (Snow and Grass)
