Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Talk to Palagrius Vinicius about orders and repossess a painting.
- Travel to Salthearth and either:
- Steal the painting, Triumph of Pelinal.
- Convince Velius Ivrol to overrule Theophon Ivrol (requires 75+ disposition).
- Bring the painting to Lesia Callo.
- Return to Palagrius.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Palagrius has more "grub work" for you, although he's apologetic about the fact. Apparently the Conservatory of Saint Laeca have hired the guild to repossess a painting. Apparently, a noble of the Kingdom of Sutch, Theophon Ivrol, has taken a commissioned painting into his father's estate without paying the Conservatory for it. Palagrius firmly stresses that while you have a legal right to take the painting, on no account can you harm any members of the Ivrol family.
The Ivrols live in Salthearth, a fair walk to the direct north of Anvil's main gate, and only reachable on foot. It will be marked on your map, but in case you're lost, follow the Gold Road leading out of Anvil until passing the Ayleid ruin of Salinen on your right. Take the next left after this point.
On your arrival at the estate, you have a choice of nobles to speak to. The commissioner of the painting, Theophon Ivrol, will prove the least helpful. He has some manner of scheme with a criminal named The Arenthian, and will refuse to give the painting up. His father, Velius Ivrol, can be somewhat more helpful - but you'll need to raise his disposition to 75+ before he will overrule his son and allow you to take the artwork.
Whether you have Ivrol consent or otherwise, the painting itself can be found on the manor's first floor, behind Theophon Ivrol. Once you have it, return to Anvil and enter the Conservatory of Saint Laeca (the building immediately to the west of the Fighters Guild) and talk to Lesia Callo. Assuming that you shed no blood, she'll gratefully accept the return of her work, and you can now speak to Palagrius for payment.
Notes[edit]
- If any guards die in your reclamation of the painting, your reward will be reduced to 300 gold, and your reputation gain with the Fighters Guild to +5. If any Ivrols die, you get nothing.

5 | Palagrius wants me to repossess a painting called 'The Triumph of Pelinal'. However, since I already have the painting in question, I am to return it to Lesia Callo at the Conservatory of Saint Laeca.
10 | Palagrius gave me orders to repossess a painting called 'The Triumph of Pelinal' which was purchased by Theophon Ivrol at Salthearth. Palagrius urged me to be careful not to upset the Ivrols unnecessarily. However, he told me the Guild has full legal right to repossess the painting. Once I have the painting, I should return it to Lesia Callo at the Conservatory of Saint Laeca.
20 | Although the law is on my side, Theophon refused to relinquish the painting, citing his status as a nobleman.
30 | I spoke to Velius Ivrol, Theophon's father. After some convincing, he agreed to let me take the painting back despite his son's objections.
35 | I returned the painting to Lesia Callo at the Conservatory of Saint Laeca.
40 | While trying to obtain the painting, I killed an Ivrol in self-defense.

120 | Palagrius was quite annoyed that I killed some of the Ivrol guards, as doing so hurt the guild's reputation. Since the contract was completed, and because I followed the law, I am still being rewarded, but only to a lesser degree.
130 | Palagrius could not understand why I killed a guard after peacefully convincing Lord Ivrol that his son should give up the painting. He refused to give me any more orders.
140 | Palagrius was outraged that I killed an Ivrol. He refused to give me any more orders.
