Recipe drop[edit]

Do we need to keep the Recipe drop column? Are recipe drops still alliance-dependent? What about character level? I am pretty sure I found a lvl 20 recipe in Deshaan with my VR 1 character.   ~Shuryard (talk) 17:02, 15 April 2015 (GMT)

Split[edit]

For me it takes a long time to load and it's the 6th longest page on the site. If there are no objections, I'd like to leave all the introductory information on the page and move two tables to two separated pages, Online:Food Recipes and Online:Beverage Recipes respectively, linked on the main page.  ~Shuryard (talk) 18:47, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Orzorga's Kitchen[edit]

Should we list Orzorga's recipes separately from the main food and beverage pages? The ingredients and effects are unique enough that they wouldn't fit on either page. Would also shift out Psijic Ambrosia if possible. Thanks Contraptions (talk) 15:40, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

Depends. If they benefit from the Gourmand/Connoisseur and/or Chef/Brewer passive abilities, they may belong to the respective category, though a "special recipes" page would also be justified for these. Actually, I'm undecided on that one^^ -- SarthesArai Talk 15:51, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
I'm just going to place them under a section called "Unique Recipes" on the page and provide the details/ingredients there. Should be more intuitive. Contraptions (talk) 18:24, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
I disagree. They should go on a separate section on the Food list, as was done with Beverages and Ambrosia. They're "special" in that they don't fit into the tables on those pages, but they still belong there. —Legoless (talk) 18:39, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
I also saw that Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch Recipe has its own page, so maybe we could do the same for the other unique recipes? We could still tabulate the effects/ingredients on the ON:Beverage Recipe and ON:Food Recipe pages but on the main ON:Recipe page we could add an extra section with links to the individual recipe pages which would have details on how to obtain the recipe/ingredients needed (although that's already covered by the quest page so is kinda redundant). Contraptions (talk) 04:56, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
Why exactly does Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch Recipe have it's own page? That's very inconsistent. Perhaps the page should be about Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch instead, rather than the recipe. That would be consistent with having a page for Psijic Ambrosia. --Enodoc (talk) 08:45, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
I agree the page should be named after the food. Perhaps an individual page for each unique dish similar to the Psijic Ambrosia page, and a section on ON:Recipes with links to them and detailing effects? Contraptions (talk) 15:13, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
I don't really think they need individual pages at all. There's a lot to say about Psijic Ambrosia, but relatively little about Orzorga's dishes aside from their weird ingredients. On the other hand, there's no real harm in creating them if it's the most convenient place to describe how to obtain the recipe. —Legoless (talk) 21:58, 5 May 2016 (UTC)

DLC recipes (and ingredients?)[edit]

I believe it would be an idea to find some way of indicate more clearly both what is added by DLC and, if applicable, in what way the recipe can be obtained still, if the player does not have the DLC.

This might apply to ingredients too. —MortenOSlash (talk) 17:00, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

I think Orzorga's recipes are the only ones limited to DLC areas, and you can trade for them. There aren't any DLC provisioning ingredients. Unless something is entirely exclusive to a DLC, we haven't been marking it as Crown content. Maybe a note on the need to trade for it could be added to Online:Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch Recipe and similar pages? —Legoless (talk) 17:06, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I don't think anything is character-bound, so I can't think of any restrictions that are based on whether you have a particular DLC or not, but perhaps there should be some general indication, for all recipes (not just ones added in DLC), of where they can be found. --Enodoc (talk) 17:08, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
