Quest-Related Events

Umbowle can initially be found tending to Burz the Brash's wounds just inside Leftwheal. Should you speak to her before Baroness Eliana Cossa she will say:

"I can assure you, there is no matter more urgent than the injuries I am tending to."

What happened here?

"The Recollection found a way to breach our walls. I don't know how, but the chaos was almost instantaneous. One moment I was treating a child's scraped knee and the next I found myself tying tourniquets and shielding civilians."

If you speak to her after agreeing to help the town she will say:

"I overheard you talking with the baroness. Be careful in there. I appreciate what you're doing, but we won't be able to save you if things get worse."

After you have found and rescued survivors in the town, and destroyed the cultist's ritual sites, you can meet with Umbowle on the road outside the settlement with the other townsfolk.

If you speak to her before the baroness she will say:

"Hold on a moment, I'm just catching my breath. I've healed more wounds today than I have all year."

If you speak to her after the baroness but before completing the quest she will say:

"Are you in need of healing? I'm stretched a little thin, but I can mend your wounds if need be."

Once you have completed the quest you will be able to ask her more questions:

"You've done us a great service, stranger. If you don't mind my saying, I feel that we're cut from the same cloth. Putting others before ourselves. A wonderful, if tiring, quality. Take care.

Will you remain here?

"Unlikely. I'll follow the injured wherever they go, Which I am certain will be far from here. Many of the civilians that weren't first evacuated suffered grievous injuries. I'll make sure they have the strength to reach a sickbed in Skingrad."
