I found a message written by a pirate of the Topal Bay in a bottle by the shore. It appears to be directions to buried treasure.
Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Examine the Pirate's Treasure Message.
- Go to the large tree inside of the fortress on the right side of the entrance. (Just past the entrance archway)
- Dig loose dirt to retrieve the Pirate's Treasure.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
On the shore at various locations throughout Blackwood, you will find a message in a bottle containing clues to buried treasure.
Following the instructions from the note, you will find yourself in the ruined fortress, overrun by goblins. The treasure will be found next to the largest tree, just inside the 'original' entrance to the fortress, to the right. Here, you will dig up some loose dirt.
<Ill-gotten gold waits beneath the pile of loose dirt.>
You will find the stash of Captain Voldar, Terror of the Topal Bay! In said stash is his hammer as well as some of his gold.

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g.,
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
