The Cursed One

The Cursed One is a Wraith and one of the minibosses of the Vaults of Madness. They have a chance to drop Gem of Curses or Forbidden Jewels, unique pieces of jewelry.

The Cursed One has the same abilities as regular wraiths, except for one unique ability:

Ice Bolt: A basic ranged attack that does moderate frost damage.
Winter's Reach: The Cursed One releases frost in the direction it is facing. This attack does high frost damage and roots all players hit by it. This spell can be interrupted to set the enemy off balance or simply avoided.
Life Link: The Cursed One applies a magical link between itself and a chosen player. While the link is active, the health from the affected player is constantly drained, and more importantly, all damage inflicted against The Cursed One is shared with the linked player. The Cursed One cannot be interrupted during this attack, and the only way to remove the link is to run away from the wraith.

When it creates a link to one of the party members:

"I won't go down alone."

"Are you prepared to sacrifice one of your own?"
