Defeat Varallion after placing the Challenge Banner in Veteran Coral Aerie.

Superior Pedigree is awarded for defeating Varallion in Coral Aerie at Veteran difficulty level, after raising the challenge banner, which makes the fight more difficult by:

• The enemies will be generally stronger.
• Some mechanics will be doubled - two waves crashing across the arena at once, Coalescing Shadows (damage over time debuff that ends with leaving damaging pool on the ground) will affect all four players every time instead of just two. ^{anything else?}
• Additional Mind Link mechanic: two players will be linked to each other. The link also deals damage over time that increases with its length, so the two should stay close. If one affected player dies, severing the link also kills the other. If another player touches the tether, all three die. In final stages of the fight, this mechanic will also double up.
• Kargaeda will join the fight in addition to other three gryphons.

In order to place the challenge banner, you will have to defeat both Maligalig and Sarydil in Hard Mode as well.
