Quest-Related Events

A Ritual in Smokefrost Peaks

After speaking to Theofa at the Smokefrost Peaks site, a female Nord scout will appear:

Scout: "I'm ready when you are!"

Speaking to the scout while doing the task:

"Let's clean these guys out!"

Approach the ritual site and she'll comment:

Scout: "This is what we came here to stop. Let's do it!"

Once you stopped the ritual, she will run off and throw a smoke bomb to disappear:

Scout: "Those cultists'll think twice before bringing their filth around here again."

If you speak to her before she vanishes:

"Nice! That'll show'em!"

Ritual at the Dragonshrine

After speaking to Mareki, he will join and comment:

Scout: "You ready? Let's go see what we're up against."

When talked to during this part of the quest

"This is it—let's wipe them out!"

Approach the ritual site and he'll comment:

Scout: "This is what we came here for. Let's take out these buggers!"

Defeat the Bone Colossus and he'll comment:

Scout: "That's it, right? I thought they were going to kill us both!"

When talked to during this part of the quest, before he disappears

"We sure showed those bastards, eh?"

He'll then disappear in a flash.

The Scout is an Argonian soldier of the Root-Whisper Tribe, who can be encountered in the Mists's Burned Village Mural during the dream-wallow. He brings the news of more invading Ayleids to Raj-Kaal Druxith.

Quest-Related Events

Once you have found the survivors, you can return to Raj-Kaal Druxith with the news.

Scout: "They are coming! They are coming!"

Scout: "The Elves! More come, raj-kaal. Hundreds more!"

Rak-Kaal Druxith: "How? We slaughtered them here like hog-fish."

Scout: "That was only the first wave."

Rak-Kaal Druxith: "Kaoc. Fine! Fall back to the Hist. We fight and die in its shadow. Bare your fangs, root-kin!"

<Myndhal appears.>

Myndhal: "Yes, by all means—bare your fangs! I wouldn't want this to be too easy."

<Myndhal attacks Raj-Kaal Druxith and he is knocked down. The scout then rushes towards Myndhal but is easily killed and his soul is taken.>

Myndhal: "Have you forgotten the laws of the hunt so soon? Prey is supposed to run."

Bugs

• The Murkmire scout's nameplate appears as "Survivor" if you view his soul when it briefly appears before you are kicked out of the vision. ^?
