Defeat Corruption of Root after placing the challenge banner in Veteran Earthen Root Enclave.

Plucking out the Corruption is awarded for defeating Corruption of Root in Veteran Earthen Root Enclave after placing the challenge banner, which will enable Hardmode and make the fight more difficult:

• The enemies will be generally stronger.
• Graft-Root animal packs summoned by the boss will have an extra Graft-Root Senche and a Graft-Root Bear.
• Corrupted Pulp (damaging vines on the ground) will stay for the duration of the fight.
• ^{What else?}

In order to place the challenge banner, you will have to defeat Corruption of Stone in Hardmode.
