On the Doorstep

Once you've started the quest with Halindor, you'll find Gonlas upstairs inside his house under the influence of a red glowing crystal:

Gonlas: "Help me … destroy … the crystal …."

If you speak to him before destroying the crystal, he says:

"Please … help me. The crystal. I can hear them in my head!"

Get rid of the crystal and its influence dissipates. Speak to Gonlas and he'll say:

"The Green keep you! If you hadn't come along I don't know … I could have …."

What happened?

"I was taking a nap, worked in the field today. I woke up to find that damned crystal … I'm sorry, I don't remember anything else."

After destroying all the amplification crystals in town, Gonlas will become possessed by a Dro-m'Athra in his home.

After the quest, he will be outside his house, sitting on the steps:

"Greenhill has survived. Thank you. I'm certain we'd all be in their icy grip if it hadn't been for you."

Ezreba's Fate

Treethane Bowenas will ask you to get the opinion of the rest of the town in order to decide Ezreba's fate. Speak to Gonlas and he'll say:

"My favorite traveler! The forest keep and protect you on your path."

Bowenas must decide what to do with Ezreba. Should she stay, or be banished?

""Should she stay?" What kind of question is that? She's a cancer in our midst. I felt that darkness in my mind. She should be cut out! Now!"

After completing the objective, you can speak to him again. His response differs depending on your choice during the quest.

If you agreed to allow Ezreba to stay:	If you agreed to have Ezreba banished:
"I can't believe you let her stay. The Green damn you, traveler! A cancer at the heart of our wood."	"She's going! We'll be safe now! Truly, you've saved us twice-over."

The Fires of Dune

If you help Greenhill before arriving in Dune, he'll be there to greet you:

"Thank you for your help in Greenhill."
