Elsbytte is a Nord you can find in a random encounter. She is looking for her pet mammoth, Muffins, in the wilds of Western Skyrim.
Dialogue[edit]
As you near her location you may hear her cry out one of the following:
- Elsbytte: "Muffins! Where are you?"
- Elsbytte: "Muffins! Come Back!"
- Elsbytte: "Muffins! I have some delicious greens for you!"
- Elsbytte: "Where could she have wandered off to?"
- Elsbytte: "Muffins! Want a nice sweetroll?"'
When speaking to her, she says:
- "Oh, excuse me! Have you seen a mammoth with big adorable eyes stomping around anywhere? Her name is Muffins, and I'm worried sick about her!"
- You have a pet mammoth?
- "Is that so strange? Yes, I do! I raised her from just a wee little thing. I can't imagine a life without her! Just one look at her sweet face and you'd understand.
Oh, why did I think a fence would stop her?" - I wish you luck.
Sometimes the mammoth will run up to her after you finish talking:
- Elsbytte: "There you are, Muffins!"
- <Muffins gives a little trumpet.>
- Elsbytte: "Oh, my baby! I'm so relieved!
Don't ever scare me like that again!"
If you stay in the area, she will keep talking to Muffins from a pool of lines:
- Elsbytte: "Did you find some yummy plants, darling?"
- Elsbytte: "You look a little bloated, Muffins. Are you feeling all right?"
- Elsbytte: "Who's a good little mammoth? You are!"
- Elsbytte: "You had me worried half to death! Don't ever run off like that again, all right?"
- Elsbytte: "We'll have some sweetrolls when we get home."
In the case Muffins doesn't appear, you can talk to Elsbytte once more:
- "Maybe I just need to be patient. My Muffins will come back. She has to!"
- [Persuade] Maybe she's too far away to hear you.
- "Oh, that's a good point! Muffins would never ignore my calls. She must have wandered farther than I thought.
Thank you, my friend! I'm going to go look for her!" - Good luck.
She then runs off.
- Elsbytte: "Don't worry, Muffins! I'm coming to get you!"
