Stop Alasan and recover the Ward
An army of Withered Hand soldiers necromancers attacked Tava's Blessing and killed everyone. Whatever they are planning here, I plan to stop them.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Talk to Prince Azah.
  2. Destroy the necromantic focuses.
  3. Enter the lighthouse.
  4. Gather elements to gain the gods' favor.
  5. Reforge the Ansei Ward.
  6. Take the sword to the Ansei Shrine.
  7. Return to Prince Azah.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Enter the highlighted building and speak with Prince Azah. He tells you the Withered Hand leader, Alasan, is planning to turn himself into a lich. He has killed everyone in the town and is using Necromantic Focuses to channel the energy necessary for this ritual. Exit the building, and use the focus immediately to your left (a large stick with three skulls and a beacon of light similar to Skyshards). Repeat this process for the other two focuses before heading to the lighthouse at the northern edge of Tava's Blessing.

After shattering the ward and disrupting the ritual, you must honor Morwha, Zeht and Tava to reforge the Ansei Ward. Collect the goat milk, desert wind and grave dirt before heading to the forge to restore the blade. Head to the shrine towards the north.

Use the Ansei ward and trap Alasan. Run through the hordes that should have disappeared but for some reason don't and give the ward to Prince Azah to complete the quest.

Notes[edit]

  • The focuses won't exist in the town before talking with Azah.
  • During the objective to trap Alasan's Soul, the objective text description will wrongly refer to Ansei Maja as "Ansei Radan".
  • When you exit the lighthouse the enemies will be replaced with Ra-Netus.

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
