Can someone help me fix this? The line under "Quests Given" goes through the info box and the image. --GuildKnight | Talk (contribs) 19:52, 27 March 2007 (EDT)

It seems fine to me, and it could just be your window's size that's giving you trouble (try resizing it to see if there's any difference). --WerdnanoslenTalk 20:18, 27 March 2007 (EDT)
Yup, when I maximize the window, the line under "Quests Given" stops at the edge of the box, but when it's not maximized, it goes through the box. Anybody know why? --GuildKnight | Talk contribs 20:22, 27 March 2007 (EDT)

Anvil guild[edit]

Wasn't Hannibal Traven the leader of the Anvil Mages Guild before Carahil? Shouldn't that be noted? CRACK-A-BACK 22:14, 5 August 2007 (EDT)

Yes, I believe that's true. At least, one of the dialogues in game is:
Carahil inherited the Anvil Mages Guild chapter from Hannibal Traven, the Archmage. She runs a clean hall, just like Traven did.
It seems to me that a note about that would be appropriate. --NepheleTalk 23:28, 5 August 2007 (EDT)
Additionally, it's implied that of all the guild leaders, Carahil is the most sympathetic to Traven's views. The other ones are still a little iffy on his stance against necromancy, but she's behind him 100%. --TheRealLurlock Talk 00:02, 6 August 2007 (EDT)

His staff[edit]

I noticed that the article makes no mention of Hannibals Ice Staff and the related quest (Misdirection). Should this be noted at all? Or is the Staff not even attributed to him in the CS?--Matthias 07:27, 30 April 2009 (EDT)

Traven isn't related to the quest himself, so it shouldn't get a mention. The ice staff... well he never actually uses it, so again I'd vote "no" on that one. –RpehTCE 07:34, 30 April 2009 (EDT)

Imp Gall[edit]

If you go to Traven's bedroom, a bit to the side of his bed are two waste baskets, the further and smaller one has a sample of Imp Gall in it, just to note. --Ganoes Paran

lol, and some bone meal in the other wastebasket, just realized that right now. -- Ganoes Paran

Arch-Mage's Key[edit]

Does anyone know what this actually unlocks? The way up to the A-M's quarters is with a portal thingy, so there's no actual door. Is it just for show? — Unsigned comment by 87.127.79.8 (talk) on 3 May 2009

As it says on the keys page, it unlocks the "Archmage's Night Stand in the Arch-Mage's Quarters at the Arcane University, Imperial City" –RpehTCE 07:56, 3 May 2009 (EDT)
Interesting. I have never found that to be locked. Ahh well - thanks. — Unsigned comment by 87.127.79.8 (talk) on 3 May 2009

Spoiler much?[edit]

The first couple lines kinda give away that he dies at then end of the Mages Guild quest line. Should it be removed or something? — Unsigned comment by 92.17.232.145 (talk) on 14 May 2009

As it says on the Main Page of this wiki: "The site's purpose is to provide information; therefore, some of the content may contain spoilers. You may want to play the games described by our articles before exploring the site." So I think that sentence is justified in being there. --SerCenKing Talk 02:41, 15 May 2009 (EDT)

Egotistical Arch Mage[edit]

I just got the following quote asking Traven for rumors:

I've not always been happy with the standards of conduct in the Mage's Guild, but Hannibal Traven's reforms are quite encouraging.

Anyone else experienced this? Is it patched by the UOP? — Unsigned comment by 216.99.45.179 (talk) on 15 August 2009

Yes, it can happen and it is patched by the UOP. It's a common enough glitch not be noteworthy for the article though. --Timenn-<talk> 10:57, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Hannibal Traven/Hannibal Lecter[edit]

Possible referance to Hannibal Lecter?Dayneesha 02:28, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

No offense intended, possible reference to the millions of people worldwide who are called Hannibal. --Wizy (Talk/Contribs) 02:51, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
Maybe it could be a reference to Hannibal Hamlin? They were both leaders of a sort... Joking of course. There doesn't seem to be a correlation in any case. It's just another name. --DKong27 Talk Cont 02:58, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Traven's First Axiom of Magic[edit]

Wylandriah in Skyrim refers to "Traven's First Axiom of Magic". We may assume this is named after Hannibal Traven, perhaps worth a mention? She also refers to a "Jarol apparatus", but that's not really relevant to this page. — Unsigned comment by 94.195.86.27 (talk) at 19:08 on 15 June 2012‎
