Oblivion talk:Armand Christophe
Name[edit]
Is it just me or does 'Armand Christophe' sound like a Breton name? 81.131.230.246 00:08, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Does it really matter? The conventions of naming aren't always used in Tamriel nor Earth. –Elliot talk 01:52, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Making Fool of Lex[edit]
Sometimes when you talk with him, or with other members of the thieves guild about Lex, they tell something about the Gray Fox making a fool out of Lex when he was trying to arrest Armand. (Armand says "I made a fool of him" not the Gray Fox but still...) The question i have is this: Is there any way to hear the "how"? I'm interested since i want to make a mod where a guard talks of it in a journal (its kinda important to the story of the mod) and i don't want it to differ from the official version if there's any.
Thanks to any answerers.— Unsigned comment by 213.178.124.189 (talk) at 12:06 on 16 January 2010
- Nope. There's no story behind it given in-game, just that the Grey Fox made a fool out of him, though oddly, Armand will claim credit for...something. Not exactly hard to make Lex look like an idiot, though, is it? XD Good luck with your mod. I'd like to hear what they did to Lex too. ^_^ 72.224.126.156 19:17, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
- I think Armand avoided an arrest warrent issued by Lex in the past, with the Gray Fox's help.--Arch-Mage MattTalk 19:30, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
The Elven Maiden[edit]
Isn't he hiding in the Imperial Trading Company Warehouse basement (rather than being disabled as this page states)?— Unsigned comment by 194.83.173.211 (talk) at 15:58 on 5 November 2010

- Hi! Unless you're fast enough to catch him in the garden where you left him, then he doesn't have a chance to go hide somewhere. You can talk to him and he will mildly scold you for talking to him at the wrong time and place if it is so, or explain to you that he is in hiding and that you should go talk to Methredhel for further instructions. That he actually hides in that basement is news to me, but it does explain why he has a key to get there! So thanks for that tidbit of data. If I hadn't just finished that quest, I'd be tempted to go see if he does hide out there, to appease my curiosity. Hmm. Oh, by the way! I came here to point out that making him non-essential so that he can be killed, doesn't get the message about how the quest can't be completed because a character essential to the quest has died. I killed Armand and I got a message pop-up about talking to him to pay a fine to him, even though he was dead! Why isn't there a way to be permantly booted out like there is with the "Dark Brotherhood"? Leo Star Dragon 1 08:19, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Conversation[edit]
This is mostly trivial but, When you go to "About the Thieves Guild" then "If I do steal from a thief?" he responds "You are removed from the guild. You must pay a fine to one of the guild doyen to get back in" then it gives you the same dialogue as when you ask him to pay your bounty. idk if this should be added to the glitches/notes section or just mention it somewhere in the article. I'm using PS3 GOTY edition. 99.162.120.135 20:58, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Wolfchaldo
- I don't see how this is noteworthy or a bug. That's how his dialogue works. --DKong27 Talk Cont 21:58, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Stealing[edit]
Hey just do you know, if Armand is home Pickpocket him and steal anything you want he will just say he does not care what you take, you can get 30 lockpicks just by pickpocketing him. — Unsigned comment by 69.71.1.1 (talk) at 07:38 on 4 July 2013
- This is due to his low Responsibility. Characters with a responsibility below 30 I believe (Armand's is 0) will not care if you steal from them or commit crimes around them. Forfeit (talk) 17:01, 4 July 2013 (GMT)
