The Drothmeri Commander practices his combat skills

The Drothmeri Commander is a Dark Elf added by the Mehrunes' Razor official download. He resides in his own house in Sundercliff Commune, which also contains one of the two Bezoars you will need to acquire to open the magical door leading to Varsa Baalim

His full name is Telani Adrethi, as revealed by the Morag Tong Assassin's Writ of Assassination. Why the Morag Tong has orders to assassinate the Commander is not revealed, but this provides an alternative way to kill the Commander, simply by releasing the Morag Tong Assassin. Even if the assassin does not succeeds in killing the Commander, he will helpfully lower the Commander's health so that you will be able to dispose of him easily yourself.

The Commander is utterly dedicated to the cause, spending most of his days training his boxing skills against the punchbag on the top floor of his house. He never sleeps and only breaks off from this routine for his meals, which he takes in his house between 8am and 10am, and between 6pm and 8pm. As he is unarmored during his training sessions, this is a good time to attack him.

Taking on the Commander yourself can be a challenge. He wears heavy greaves, gauntlets, and boots, and may possibly also carry a heavy shield (25% chance). All may be enchanted starting from level 3 with 20% chance, rising to 25% from level 7 and 30% from level 9. The boots and gauntlets are always of highest quality available. Oddly, he never wears a cuirass, though he does always wears a piece of combat-related enchanted jewelry. He may also carry one leveled combat potion (75% chance), one leveled poison (75%) as well as some spare lower-class pants.

He fights with a leveled longsword or claymore of best possible quality for his level. His weapon may be enchanted starting from level 3 with 25% chance, rising to 40% from level 7 and to 50% from level 9. The Commander also possesses a leveled set of Spellsword spells, which are always the strongest for the Commander's skill level, though his range is rather limited (see Notes).
