Which Scroll?[edit]
hey i used to have morrowind for xbox and i found a scroll that is a scroll of jumping, aughthough i cant remember the name of it it made you jump to top of game world but had no levitation or slowfall to it so it is basicly a death scroll unless you land on the top of some mountines but i also remember it is obtained near starting town — Unsigned comment by 70.41.64.58 (talk) on 27 November 2009

Woe upon you?[edit]
Any reason why the majority of them say "Woe upon you" even if they don't harm anything? — Unsigned comment by 24.251.66.123 (talk) on 8 January 2010
- Developer laziness? The text on the scroll doesn't affect anything and the devs probably hadn't anticipated a site as nerdy as this one. –rpeh •T•C•E• 07:27, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Translations[edit]
How was the Morrowind text translated? Is there a page on this site that describes the Morrowind alphabet? If yes, it might be nice if there were an explanatory note on this page that linked to that one. Rossj81 04:06, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
It is Daedric text and the alphabet can be found here--Corevette789 04:37, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Xayah and Yahkem[edit]
Is there a reason why they are used in the images of the scrolls? The in-game versions do not include them. Ongoingwhy 05:28, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
- Occurences of Xayah and Yahkem that I spotted have been removed. Ongoingwhy 16:38, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
Formatting of the Daedric text[edit]
Would it be possible to follow the formatting style of the scrolls in Morrowind? The current style in UESP makes them difficult to read since it's hard to tell where a word begins or ends. Ongoingwhy 08:27, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
- I am not asking for someone else to do it, but for permission to do this. Ongoingwhy 08:47, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

- I have completed what I had set out to do. Ongoingwhy 16:38, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
[sic] in the Scroll of Fiercely Roasting[edit]
The translation of the inscription of the Scroll of Fiercely Roasting (NINE-FOLD WOES AND WEAKNESSES UPON YOU, HEATHEN SERVENTS [sic] OF DARKNES [sic]) says that "darkness" is misspelled, but looking at the Daedric text, it appears that there is no misspelling. 37.160.221.109 22:30, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
- I caught this as well. After double-checking in-game I removed the tag. I suppose it's possible this was actually fixed by the MPP, but then the Daedric script should be changed instead. ParadoxPraxis (talk) 20:51, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
NPCs using scrolls[edit]
I am interested to know if NPCs use scrolls they are carrying in combat. I assume they prioritize using their own magicka to cast known spells if any.
- If they do use scrolls and have a selection of different scrolls with effects from different schools of magic, does their highest pertinent magic skill determine their choice? Would it have anything to do with their Enchant skill? Chill fridge (talk) 07:43, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
