Pickpocketing Sanguine Leaping[edit]
I can't seem to pickpocket this item from this Khajiit. I have 100 sneak, 100 security, 90 agility, and 52 luck. He always caught me and won't let me steal it from him. I also encounter this problems from other quest items(tried to take back the 7 golden eggs from the dude in fighters guild). Is it just me? -Aven 10:15, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- No, it's not only you. Right now, it's the last Sanguyin artefact I haven't got already and I'm in hell trouble to get it by pickpocketting. I'm level 52, 100 sneak, 100 security, 100 agility, 87 Luck. I've also a 1 sec 500% Chameleon spell I cast on myself right before my pickpocket attempt. I've 0/500 encumbrance, and my fatigue bar is full. I'm as far from him as possible, and always on his back.
- But still, even with ALL this, ALL these amazing stat and conditions, HE STILL CAUGHT ME.
- I never get trouble "seeing" his inventory, but when picking his shoes, immediately fail...
- The only thing I could improve naturally would be Luck from 87 to 100.
- I've also 100 Intelligence, 100 Alchemy, and 100 Enchanting, and I'm planning to go to extreme limit with spell/enchant/potion putting my Luck/Agility/Sneak/Security to insane amount (like 500 or more).
- If it's STILL not enough (like the requirement wasn't already insane), then I will officially claim that pickpocketing the shoes from Dro'Zaymar is just IMPOSSIBLE. 90.58.86.222 16:00, 26 March 2013 (GMT)
- I did it on my fifth try with 100 sneak, 100 luck, 40% chameleon. He was facing away from me. I'm not using MCP, just the official patches, without the expansion packs. Anyway, it's not IMPOSSIBLE. -- 67.168.145.128 00:25, 26 May 2013 (GMT)

- Just thought I'd chime in as I've gone back to Morrowind after years of Oblivion and Skyrim. While pickpocketing [Dro'Zaymar[Morrowind:Dro'Zaymar]] is difficult, especially for lower level characters and particularly those inclined towards warrior stats / skills, I'd have to concur with 67.168.145.128. I've never been much good at sneaking or pickpocketing in Morrowind; really, I'm only just learning how to do it effectively (ah well, it's only taken me a decade) but I managed to peacefully grab the shoes. I play on Xbox One, no mods, just the Tribunal expansions. My stats at the time of trying:

Lvl 50 Breton {f} Attributes Skills Enchantments Agility: 80 Sneak (Misc. skill): 71 Exquisite Amulet: Chameleon 12% (constant effect) Luck: 63 Illusion (Minor skill): 71 Exquisite Ring (x2): Chameleon 24% each (constant effect)

- I think that covers everything relevant to pickpocketing. I simply crouched at the door, cast my Chameleon spell (10% for 30 secs), giving me a total of 70% Chameleon, and then waited for poor Dro'Zaymar to turn his back before I nabbed the shoes. I did have to try it twice with a reload but it worked just fine the second time. Didn't even have to Calm him. I only thought to check here because I notice that Raig's page says (bold is mine):
-
Unfortunately, the only way to find out what Raig is talking about is to kill Dro'Zaymar.
- I get that this method is tricky and requires putting a lot of effort into Illusion, Sneak and possibly even Enchant (I can't honestly offer an opinion on whether I could have done it without the enchantments since neither Enchant nor Illusion are skills I'm used to using) but I calling it the only method is a little dishonest, at least without offering the alternatives. It almost put me off trying to since I like to play through without unnecessary kills wherever possible but it turns out, a bit of experimentation and hey presto! n_n --Maranwé (talk) 12:17, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
