Niras Farys

Niras Farys is a Dark Elf priest who serves the Tribunal Temple in the Telvanni Council House in Sadrith Mora. There he sells books (mostly religious texts), potions, spells, and spellmaking services to all who need them, though he has no gold with which to purchase anything. Other than a rumor about Mistress Therana and her slaves, along with some minor grumbles about the quarters provided by House Telvanni, he doesn't say much.

He is wearing a common robe with matching belt and shoes. He also carries a silver staff of shaming and 5 gold. Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows a variety of spells, which you can buy from him.

Dialogue[edit]

His greeting if you have never spoken to him before:

"Welcome to the Sadrith Mora Temple, outlander. You'll excuse the improvised furnishing. Telvanni hospitality. But I assure you, there's nothing second-class about our commitment to Almsivi, or our commitment to faith and service."

If spoken to again:

"Yes? What can I do for you?"

If asked about Telvanni hospitality:

"As an outlander, you may not know that House Telvanni is rather casual in its commitment to the Tribunal Temple and its teachings -- an unfortunate consequence of the wizard's pre-occupation with power for its own sake, and not as a means to better the physical and spiritual well-being of the people. In fact, we are lucky they were willing to grant us these cramped, dark chambers. For many years, we had neither shrine for blessings nor Temple staff here in Sadrith Mora."

If asked about Telvanni hospitality while you are a member of House Telvanni:

"You serve House Telvanni? I see. No, no. We are quite grateful for your House's gracious loan of these cramped, dark chambers. The furnishings are not quite what we are used to, but we are humble servants of Almsivi, and our needs are modest."

If asked about latest rumors:

"Mistress Therana's having trouble with her slaves again. She has more trouble with her slaves than other Telvanni."
