Poem?[edit]

Is the formatting correct on this page? I've seen situations like this, where a bunch of words were capitalized for no apparent reason, and it turned out to be because it should've been formatted as a poem with line breaks. I don't have Daggerfall, so I can't confirm. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 21:53, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

So, I suspect the opening paragraph should look something like this:

"The Grey Falcon, a small warship of the Sumurset Isle,
Was patrolling deep in the ocean for a pirate
That had been looting the coast.
The first three weeks out were uneventful.
Two hours after sunset, on the 22nd day out of port,
The lookout spotted a top of a sail in the moonlight,
Just on the horizon."

While I would normally agree with you, I searched a bit on Youtube for a video showing someone reading books in Daggerfall. As can be seen in this video (around 8:00) the book The Alik'r is shown with a passage at the bottom of the page structured just like you described, but without the line breaks. To be more precise I'm referring to:
"A sacred flame rises above the fire, The ghosts of great men and women without names, Cities long dead rise and fall in the flame, The Dioscori Song of Revelation, Bursting walls and deathless rock, Fiery sand that heals and destroys."
I'm not sure if this is the best example. But I presume the copies of the books we have here were taken directly from game data and not manually transcribed, meaning any line break tags should have been copied along with the rest of it. Shame really, since it really looks better structured as a poem. -- Kertaw48 (talk) 11:22, 23 September 2012 (GMT)
