Is Orcrest the Anequine Capital[edit]
I think a lot of Tamriel is planned out and they (ZOS) release small hints in places such as collectible descriptions. I think Orcrest is the capital for two reasons. One since it is conveniently located in the center of the region, and another because of the tidbit, about how his Orcrest Honor Guard appeared in his wedding, from the White Lion description. Based on the tidbit, either Orcrest hosted the wedding or Keirgo is from Orcrest, making it the seat of power in Anequina. I don't imagine a King having Honor Guards in every city they own or at least bringing one specific group along unless it's where they're from. It doesn't have to be added to be the page, but I think it's a possible theory. --Vincentius1 (talk) 22:09, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
- This is certainly possible—probably even likely—but as it is never outright stated it is just speculation, and that doesn't belong on the lore pages; there are forums for that. —Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 07:23, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
A Query[edit]
So I've been fixing up some of the grammar and punctuation errors in this article, but there are a few places in the 'History and Geography' section where I had to guess at the intended meaning, and some which defeated me altogether (whirling short walls?). I would appreciate if someone more familiar with the actual location could look it over to see if it makes sense. TBH I am somewhat dubious about this whole section, as in several places information specific to the situation in ESO (eg dead bodies in the lower city) seems to have been presented as universal. I appreciate ESO is our main source for Orcrest, but it should still be possible to distinguish between the city's underlying geographical features and elements that are directly linked to a recent crisis. Since I haven't played ESO all I can do is compare the lorespace and gamespace articles, so I defer to more experienced heads.--Draugluin (talk) 05:27, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, so I wrote the page a while ago and I have been going back and rewriting pages to improve them. This is one that could use it. The Layout and Geography section is supposed to be a general description of the place in-game, but any contemporary stuff to ESO should go away. It would benefit from images and some rewrites but reading through it, I don't think it's inaccurate to how it appears in the game. The whirling short walls is referencing the upper part of the dungeon which has these short walls that you can kinda see over. I don't think UESP has a good image on it but on the east side of this map here, and at the bottom right here, you can sort of see what I mean. --Vincentius1 (talk) 11:46, 24 June 2023 (UTC)

- Thanks for the feedback. I was mainly worried that some of my edits may have introduced inadvertant inaccuracies (try saying that five times fast). As for the walls, I was mainly confused by the word 'whirling', which conjured up a very strange mental image. At this point, I'll leave further changes to people who've actually visited the location (which may include me if I ever get round to playing ESO).--Draugluin (talk) 12:58, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
