Alternative wording

Is it possible to have the 'birth-pains' removed as an assertion as to the phenomena during Mundus' formation? A more neutral statement would be "<whatever birth pains refers to cosmologically> referred to as 'birth-pains' by scholars". If we're presenting information as factual or what is written or conveyed as factual, then being neutral rather than using a metaphysical descriptor (e.g. we don't call Baar Dun 'Lie Rock' and assert that it is 'Lie Rock' throughout the Baar Dun article) that seems to be not found in the texts stated as sources for Magnus' departure in the theology and mythos of Mundus. Unless the phrase "birth-pains" is used in a book relating to the creation myth of Magnus leaving Mundus and leaving a hole it should be removed as it can be equally described as something else.

I'm unsure as to your reasoning for changing this word, as not every word on a wiki can or will be a direct quote, otherwise it would be an exact duplication of the source material. When something complex is related to a more familiar simpler subject that is easier to understand, it is expected that each aspect be compared to something within the simpler subject. While the word itself does not appear, most sources refer to the creation of Mundus as a 'birth' and it appears that the pain aspect comes from The Monomyth under Shezarr's Song, which says "This free birth was very painful". So combining the two, the familiar aspect of birth-pains experienced can be readily compared to the pain of the death or massive loss of power experienced by many of Magnus' fellow et'Ada, especially as they were not aware of the needed 'sacrifice' much like nothing can relate the intense pain of giving birth without experiencing it yourself.
