Skyrim Dwarven automatons[edit]
What happened to all the links to the Skyrim bestiary from these? is there a reason that they are gone? Vos 06:03, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- They were removed because the name of the creatures in Skyrim are different. The Skyrim variants should be listed in Lore:Bestiary D. They aren't yet, but feel free to add them. ABCface◥ 06:09, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- That seems quite ridiculous to me, i mean, did we create a separate section for the Sabrecat over the Sabre toothed tiger? If they are the same thing in essence, but just a slight variant on the name, should that really call for a whole other section? whats wrong with the "Centurion Sphere, also know as the Dwarven Sphere" approach? Vos 06:16, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- I'd agree with you on this one (they're the same creatures in the different games, for sure), but I usually stay out of editing Lorespace because of the stricter rules. I would say take it up with the editor who removed it, or wait for more consensus on this talk page. ABCface◥ 06:41, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, I'm very cautious about Lore-space edits myself. I guess I'll wait for any consensus before pestering the user who did it with my opinions. Hehe Vos 09:25, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

(←) The bestiary is odd like that; it lists different varieties of the same creature. Since there is no creature called "Centurion Sphere" in Skyrim, it doesn't belong under that entry. Instead, it should get a new entry as "Dwarven Sphere". A 'see also' link would be appropriate, like Vely suggested. —Legoless 17:35, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- Heheh, okay fine, i submit. But by that reasoning, should the Sabrecat and sabretooth tiger sections be split up then? Vos 19:33, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
-
- Yeah, they should. —Legoless 19:46, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
Cows also in Daggerfall.[edit]
I added the cows are in daggerfall, but it was removed. Are they called Cattle or Bulls in Daggerfall?
I am also pretty sure Cave bears are in Daggerfall also, in the privateers hold, or is it a grizzly bear?Gunbeard 20:54, 27 July 2012 (UTC)Gunbeard
- Where have you seen cows in Daggerfall? I see absolutely no mention of cows in Daggerfall anywhere on the wiki, even in the Daggerfall namespace, so I'm hesitant to think that they exist. I they are in Daggerfall, they should be added to an appropriate page in Daggerfall before they're added to Lore, especially since the Lore page will link back to the Daggerfall page. - Daggerfall's cities are filled with 2D sprites used as decoration. Cows are probably one of them. We obviously don't have an article for them, nor do I think we really need one, but it wouldn't hurt to have if we're going to be using them as a reference in lorespace. —Legoless 22:14, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

- A cow in Daggerfall. I don't think they need mentioned in Daggerfall's bestiary, but it could be mentioned on the lore page that there are cows in Hammerfell & High Rock? — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 06:20, 7 April 2013 (GMT)

Chaurus Hunter Speculation?[edit]
I removed a bit about Chaurus Hunters being the second life-stage of the Chaurus, and that they become such after a few days of death-like stillness. I could find no source for this, hence the removal, although I have yet to play through Dawnguard, so perhaps it is just not yet recorded on this wiki. It's also possible that I simply failed to find it, despite its presence here. Wynter (talk) 07:27, 9 December 2014 (GMT)
- It's from a loading screen tip that was added in Dawnguard. -- Hargrimm(T) 07:32, 9 December 2014 (GMT)
Removal[edit]
I have removed the cockatrice from this page. My reasoning for this is the same as the Velk and Sand Kwoom issues, UOL. Concept art is UOL, which it appears the Arena Player's Guide depiction is. In my copy, at least, the image of the cockatrice isn't even labeled, leading me to wonder if it even is depicted one to begin with. The only other mention of cockatrices lies within unofficial forum posts by Ted Peterson. Mindtrait0r (talk) 19:42, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
