Eagle's Brook[edit]
Eagle's Brook (also called Eagle Brook) is a village located on the coastal highlands of Glenumbra, in the province of High Rock. Eagle's Brook is the home of nearby Camlorn's artisans and craftsmen who serve the high nobility of the kingdom. The settlement also serves as a key port to the city-state, one that bridges it to the Eltheric Ocean from the north. And because it is a port town, Eagle's Brook sees a regular import of seafood and prepares it daily.
Earth Forge[edit]
The Earth Forge is a ruined Dwemer forge discovered by the Fighters Guild in the Second Era and used by their blacksmiths. Its location is a secret closely guarded by the guild; it lies hidden somewhere in the Druadach Mountains of southwestern Skyrim, just north of the Hammerfell border. It is accessible from guildhalls across Tamriel via portal magic.
Earthtear Caverns[edit]
Earthtear Caverns (or Earthtear Cavern) is a network of underground tunnels and chasms in the Craglorn region of Hammerfell. At least two entrances exist: one just northeast of Azra's Crossing, and another in the desert far west of Belkarth.
Eastmarch[edit]
Eastmarch is the eastern hold of Skyrim, and one of the four known collectively as the Old Holds. As its name suggests, it lies against the province's eastern border, close to the Dunmeth Pass, the only passage to and from Morrowind in the area due to the high and rugged Velothi Mountains.
Windhelm is the only sizable city in the otherwise rural province due to the expansive hot springs which dominate the hold. According to legend, these hot springs were created when the hero Wuunding fought a mighty Daedra and defeated it with a flaming hammer. The hammer's blows melted the Daedra, leaving behind the numerous hot springs.
Darkwater River winds north from Lake Geir into this treacherous hot spot, where it meets the White River which then drains into the Sea of Ghosts as it passes Windhelm. River Yorgrim also joins with the White River before it ends at the Sea of Ghosts. It drains Lake Yorgrim, which lies west in the hold known as the Pale.
Ebon Ro[edit]
Ebon Ro is a settlement located in the northern area of Valenwood, specifically northeast of Vulkwasten Wood and Silvenar and west of Thormar Keep.
Ebon Stadmont[edit]
Ebon Stadmont is a forest located on the base of Eton Nir, in the province of the Summerset Isles. Ebon Stadmont is a location shrouded in mystery, the source of various legends and myths found throughout the Summerset Isle. Ebon Stadmont's tablets and ruins are covered in an unknown and mysterious language, one that is said to be similar to that of the Daedra, with lines of text on structures with statues of crows—a creature associated with Nocturnal.
Ebon Wastes[edit]
The Ebon Wastes is a settlement found in the region of Glenumbra, in the province of High Rock. The village was built from the Ebon Crypt, the former mausoleum of a noble family called the Gautiers, who hailed from Camlorn. When it was taken over by a necromancer, it was subsequently abandoned.
Ebonheart[edit]
Ebonheart (also called Old Ebonheart) is one of the eight major cities on the mainland of Morrowind, and is located in the center of Stonefalls. The city is considered the eldest city-state in the province and is more commonly known as the ancestral seat of the Ra'athim Clan, described by the potentially fictional King Edward book series as an ancient family of Dunmer miners. Some members are well-known across Tamriel, such as Moraelyn, called the "Champion of Tamriel" in the King Edward book series, and Katariah Empress-Regent of the Third Empire.
Ebrocca[edit]
Ebrocca was one of the youngest ruins in the Shivering Isles at the end of the Third Era, when it was almost 1,000 years old. It was located near the settlement of Highcross. The ruins were purged of undead in 3E 433 by Sheogorath's Champion.
Echo Cave[edit]
Echo Cave is an icy, partially flooded natural cave network found far west of Bruma, in the Echo Cliffs region of Cyrodiil's Jerall Mountains.
Like all natural caves, the tunnels that make up Echo Cave once served as the capillaries of Nirn, pulsing with the divine essence of the Aedra. It was occupied at some point by the Ayleids, who left behind ruined structures in its subterranean passages. The name of the cave has nothing to do with reflected sound, and instead refers to the undead who have long haunted its chilly depths like an unholy echo of the living. It extends deep underground, and includes a subterranean canyon known as the Echo Passages.
Edward's Mountain[edit]
Edward's Mountain is a mountain in High Rock that is located near the Wrothgarian Mountains. It is featured in the fifth and sixth part of the Fools' Ebony play.
Eld Angavar[edit]
Eld Angavar (meaning Old Ironwood in Ayleidoon; also known as the Golden Path) is a realm of Nexus Gates connected by floating Ayleid architecture. It is an abandoned realm located between worlds, created as a result of Myndhal's search for the Remnant of Argon. One of the few known entrances to the realm is the still-functioning Gate within the Vakka-Bok Xanmeer in Murkmire.
Elden Grove[edit]
The Elden Grove (also spelled Eldengrove or Eldenwood) is a legendary forest known among the Bosmer as the birthplace of the sacred First Tree. This First Tree then gave life to all the forests of Tamriel. Its exact location has been a closely guarded secret, but it is known to be somewhere in western Valenwood. It was one of the places where Jagar Tharn hid a piece of the Staff of Chaos. The grove has been described as "misty" and "labyrinthian". It is alternatively known as the Grove of the One Great Tree and the Grove of the Sages.
The Heart of Valenwood in Hectahame is implied to be the home of the sacred First Tree, as it contains the physical embodiment of the soul of Valenwood. The Ayleids at Elden Root built their city of Elden Hollow in and around what is called the Elden Tree or the First Tree, believed by many to be the tree that seeded all of Valenwood. The Tree's branches and roots are as hands, reaching at once into the Mundus and Overworld. The city of Falinesti occupies the boughs and bole of a great walking Elden Tree, possibly the original Elden Tree from which all other graht-oaks are derived. The magic involved in the creation of the tree and the city were from before the dawn of recorded history.
Elden Root[edit]
Elden Root (also spelled Eldenroot) is one of the eight major cities in the province of Valenwood, situated in the southern heart of the Bosmer's great forests, Grahtwood. Not only is Elden Root the self-proclaimed "center of the Wood Elven nation", but it is also one of Valenwood's six major countries. It is a vast hub of trade and commerce, where many wealthy merchants and officials retain large-scale operations. At the center of it all is one of the legendary Elden Trees, the titanic subspecies of the already enormous graht-oak trees that laden the southeast.
Elenglynn[edit]
Elenglynn (also called Elynglenn) is an Ayleid ruin located in the western edge of the Great Forest, in the province of Cyrodiil. It is specifically located in middle of the Imperial Reserve, between Chorrol and Skingrad.
Elinhir[edit]
Elinhir, historically known as the "City of Mages", is a town in eastern Hammerfell, close to the border with both Skyrim and Cyrodiil. It is located in the Craglorn region, close to the Skyrim town of Falkreath. The city is noted for its massive Apex Towers of Nedic design. Elinhir reached its zenith in the Second Era, when it was considered the center of civilization in Craglorn. As of the Fourth Era, Elinhir was known for its use of magical techniques to make everyday tasks easier.
Elsweyr[edit]
Elsweyr is a region that lies on the southern coast of Tamriel, and is home to the feline Khajiit. It is divided into two major climates: savannahs, badlands and dry plains in the north, and fertile lands of jungle and rainforests in the south.
Originally, sixteen Khajiiti clans roamed the province, and were often simplified as belonging to a region or realm. With a combination of outside pressures and mastery of areas of expertise, it became more accurate to associate a clan with an area. Eventually, sixteen tribes became sixteen kingdoms: Ne-Quin-Al, Rimmen, Riverhold, Dune, Orcrest, Verkarth, Meirvale, and Helkarn in the north; Alabaster, Bruk'ra, Pa'alatiin, Corinthe, Tenmar, Torval, Khenarthia, and Senchal in the south. The lullaby known as the Hasa Zha'ja explains how these clans got their name, while the poem known as Zhan Zhab tells of the transition from clan names being used to refer to the names of regions. Due to the Thrassian Plague, these sixteen clans changed their tribal functions or they may have died due to starvation and other hardships. These clans essentially became two and were separated ideologically and geographically as what we would come to know as the two kingdoms of Anequina and Pellitine. These two kingdoms would eventually be united into the Elsweyr Confederacy, and once more separated in two kingdoms in the Third Aldmeri Dominion.
Eltheric Ocean[edit]
The Eltheric Ocean is a vast body of water that encompasses the waters west of Tamriel. It meets the Padomaic Ocean at Northpoint and around the Blue Divide,[nb 1] which lies between Southpoint and Auridon. The ocean's waters meet at least four continents: Tamriel, in the east, Yokuda, in the west, Pyandonea, and, allegedly, Aldmeris, in the south.
Emean Sea[edit]
The Emean Sea is the vast body of water that surrounds the entire western half of the Shivering Isles. It borders the Fringe and the Isle of Flame, as well as running the entire length of the Laughing Coast. While the specific point where the Emean Sea ends and the Enjaen Sea begins are not entirely clear, they seem to merge between Saints Watch and the Isle of Flame, and Heretic's Horn and Madgod's Boot.
Enjaen Sea[edit]
The Enjaen Sea, much like all things in Sheogorath's realm, is the second half of a greater whole: the vast ocean that surrounds the Shivering Isles. It encompasses the eastern half of the Isles and is estimated to converge into the Emean Sea somewhere between the peninsulas of Heretic's Horn and Madgod's Boot in the south, and Saints Watch and the Isle of Flame in the north. The Enjaen coast borders the entire run of the Jester's Spine Mountains and is dotted with a few campsites, as well as forming an inlet that neighbors Deepwallow and the capital, New Sheoth.
Ephesus[edit]
Ephesus is a region in southeastern High Rock, within the Bangkorai region, to the south of the city of Evermore. It borders the Mournoth region to the north and the Fallen Wastes of Hammerfell to the south. The region contains the Pelin Graveyard and the famous Bangkorai Garrison, on the border with Hammerfell. Apart from the Garrison, access to Hammerfell is also possible through the lesser-known Sunken Road. Ephesus is also home to the ruins of Arlimahera's Grip. It was known for is freeborn militia.
Erabenimsun Camp[edit]
The Erabenimsun Camp is the home of the Erabenimsun Tribe, one of the four distinct tribes of Vvardenfell. The Erabenimsun Camp is commonly found in the region of Molag Amur. Around 2E 582, the camp was found on the base of Mount Kand, and behind the ruined city of Nchuleftingth. But by 3E 427, it was found near the shores of the Zafirbel Bay.
Erokii Ruins[edit]
Erokii Ruins, or simply Erokii, is an ancient ruin in Rivenspire, said to have once been the greatest Ayleid city in northwest Tamriel. The great spire above Erokii, now known as the Doomcrag, has been likened to the Adamantine Tower in construction, and it has been speculated that it may, at one point, have been built as one of the Towers. It housed the Light of Life, or Lattanya in Ayleidoon, a relic which helped plants grow and healed illnesses. Pilgrimages to the summit of the Doomcrag would often occur daily. Following a bloody conflict between the Ayleid settlers and the original inhabitants of the area, the relic was tainted, and became Abagandra, the Lightless Remnant, a beacon of death.
Erolgard[edit]
Erolgard was a kingdom featured in the fictional novel series The Adventures of Eslaf Erol. It was located in the province of Skyrim.
Errinorne Isle[edit]
Errinorne Isle, also called the Veiled Isle is an island found off the coast of Auridon, in the province of the Summerset Isles. Errinorne Isle is named after House Errinorne, the ancestral royal house of Skywatch. In its time, Errinorne Island was used as a shipping and warehouse complex for the city of Skywatch, but it was later abandoned after the Sload had taken control of the island in the attempt to invade the city. The only landmark is the Veiled Keep, which is found in the center of the island.
Esroniet[edit]
The spice island of Esroniet is located between Tamriel and Akavir. The main port of the island is called Black Harbor. The port was captured in 3E 282 by Uriel Septim V, and in 3E 284 the island's ruler, Prince Bashomon, surrendered the whole kingdom to him. Uriel transformed it into a major base for the Imperial Navy and used it as a launching point for the invasion of Akavir in 3E 288.
Eton Nir[edit]
Eton Nir is the tallest mountain found in the province of the Summerset Isles, within the Summerset Isle. Eton Nir consists of an abundance of ruins, as well as expansive tunnel systems that connect each coast. The city-state of Cloudrest is found on the highest alps of Eton Nir. The Eton Nir Grotto is one of the many underground caverns that are found across the massif.
Evergloam[edit]
The Evergloam is a realm of Oblivion, created and ruled over by Nocturnal, the Daedric Prince of Shadow. It is a realm of perpetual twilight, and the "cradle of shadow". The Evergloam exists adjacent to all other realms of reality simultaneously, it can almost be glimpsed when one turns and looks quickly while in the dark. It consists of a primary plane and several pocket realms, including the Shade Perilous and the Crow's Wood. These realms are thought to be constantly shifting, and are perceived differently by different mortals. It is filled with forests, whose trees cast long shadows over a purple landscape. The land is dotted with crumbling buildings and sunken crypts.
Evermore[edit]
Evermore, sometimes spelled Evermor, is a city on the banks of the Bjoulsae River in eastern High Rock, located near the border with Hammerfell.
Its impressive palace was assembled from slabs of granite quarried from nearby Markarth. Local traditions include the worship of Saint Pelin, a hero of the First Era who once served as a clergyman at Bangkorai Garrison.
Historically, the Bretons of Evermore ruled over the region of Bangkorai. These lands were subject to frequent attacks from the Reachfolk of the mountains, who asserted their birthright to the city and aimed to reclaim their ancestral homeland. Southern Bangkorai included the Fallen Wastes region of Hammerfell, leading Evermore's rulership to often be contested by the Redguards of Sentinel. Evermore's position along trade routes spanning the Tamriel allowed it to become an important trading hub. Locally, it linked eastern High Rock, the southern and central regions of Hammerfell, Orsinium, and western Skyrim, while more distant trade routes to the southeast connected it with Cyrodiil.
Eyevea[edit]
Eyevea (the long-lost Sanctuary) is a small island in the Abecean Sea, far west of mainland Tamriel. Geographically it is part of the Summerset Isles archipelago, found to the northwest of the main island, although it is owned by the immortal Arch-Mage Shalidor of Skyrim, who bought it from the Altmer. It was once transported to the Shivering Isles until its return to Nirn during the Planemeld.
