Oakwood was a town located in southern Skyrim, northeast of Falkreath and southwest of Whiterun. It was found east of North Keep and had a road connection to Neugrad Watch in the south.[1]
During the Imperial Simulacrum in the late Third Era, the town of Oakwood was an active settlement, being ruled by Duke Eren. It had a rivalry with Granitehall.[1]
No trace of the settlement remained as of 4E 201.[2] It has been claimed that circa 4E 100-105 the settlement was mysteriously burned down, with there being a fire that started in the sacred grove and rapidly engulfed the entire town. The cause of this alleged fire was never found. Refugees from the town were said to have moved to Helgen.[UOL 1]
