Lore:First Empire (Mournhold)
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
The first empire was a polity of unknown proportion and prominence. The city-state of Mournhold was once a part of this empire, but was subsequently lost.[1]
This empire should not be confused with the Alessian Empire (also called the First Empire),[2] nor with the First Empire of the Nords.[3]
Notes[edit]
- A member of the Daggerfall's Council of Wisdom has alluded to an the unfinished plot for the King Edward books where Edward of Daggerfall, Moraelyn of Ebonheart, and Aliera of Wayrest would have founded an empire and united Tamriel.[UOL 1] Similarly, around this time in the First Era, an alliance called the League of Unrest rebelled against Cyrodiil; Daggerfall, Wayrest, and Balfiera were members of the League.[4]
- The Second Empire of the Dwemer was active during the time of Kagrenac,[5][6] although its relationship to this empire is unknown. The Dwemer ruin of Bamz-Amschend is found deep beneath Mournhold as well.
