Garty the Decaying

Garty the Decaying is a Redguard healer who lives in Akatosh Apartments, an upper-class building in the Temple District.

Garty gets up at 8am every morning and eats breakfast at Juno's Guesthouse; most days, he goes to the Waterfront slums at 9am to spend the day tending to the poor and sick; on Tirdas and Turdas, he goes to the Market District instead to browse the stores until 3pm, then goes to the Waterfront. In either case, he stays in the slums until 8pm, then goes to Montfort's Bakery to eat dinner, after which he goes home to relax for an hour before bed at 11pm.

He wears a lower-class robe and middle-class shoes, which he changes sometimes, and carries a moderate amount of gold and a silver dagger.

Garty's apartment is located in the basement of the building. It is sparsely furnished with a simple bed and table where he takes his meals.

Garty is an old man who has no illusions about his age or infirmity: "Now, whatever in the world could a decrepit old man do for someone as young as yourself?" If you ask how old he is, he says: "Heh heh, I remember Uriel Septim when he was just a boy! That's how old! But it's alright, I've led a full life, gone on many adventures, so, when the time comes for me to go, I'll be ready... In the end, death is but a new adventure we must all experience."
