Notes[edit]
- The three camps that include "Military Camp" in their titles are temporary, established only when your side is the attacker in a siege (Stormcloaks on Whiterun and Solitude; Imperials on Windhelm only, since their role in the Battle of Whiterun is defensive). The "Imperial Camps" and "Stormcloak Camps" are more permanent locations for the side not in control of the hold in question.
- Neither the Imperials nor the Stormcloaks will set up camp in their own former capital's hold: there is no Haafingar Imperial Camp even if the Stormcloaks take Solitude, or Eastmarch Stormcloak Camp even if the Imperials take Windhelm.
- After the Civil War questline is completed, the military camps for the side that prevailed will be disbanded, and their markers will be removed from the world and local maps. However, the local map will still show your location's title as "Imperial Military Camp" or "Stormcloak Military Camp", as appropriate. If one side takes over a hold before the end of the war, the newly controlling faction may disband its camp in that hold and move the soldiers who were at that camp to that hold's capital.
- Although Balgruuf is initially neutral, Whiterun Imperial Camp won't be set up unless you capture Whiterun for the Stormcloaks.
- Both Winterhold camps are closer to other hold capitals than they are to the city. Winterhold Imperial Camp is closer to Dawnstar, and Winterhold Stormcloak Camp is closer to Windhelm.
- Unlike regular blacksmiths, simply talking to the quartermasters at these camps is enough to see what they have for sale.
- Falkreath Stormcloak Camp and Hjaalmarch Stormcloak Camp both feature a roasted skeever on a campfire that you can harvest for charred skeever hide. Every other camp has a cooking station you can use.
- Calcelmo may ask for Dwemer items bought from these camps, sending you a note by courier. The note will state only "military camp" instead of the camp's actual name. For example, Reach Stormcloak Camp and Winterhold Imperial Camp will simply be recognized in the note as "Stormcloak military camp" and "Imperial military camp", respectively.
Bugs[edit]
- When a military camp is disbanded and its war map removed, the map's city and fort markers may remain floating in the air.
- The Imperial legates and Stormcloak officers in their respective camps may remain essential once the Civil War questline is finished. ?
